BJP lost because its prime ministerial candidate Mr. LK Advani made the biggest mistake of his political career by personally targeting Mr. MM Singh. It did not go down well with people in the northern belt. It was as big a mistake as was India Shining of 2004. The other palpable mistake was gross infighting between middle-rung leaders of BJP, and out of place ambitions of ancients like Mr. BS Sekhawat and Dr. MM Joshi. The latter tried their level best to scuttle chances of Mr. Advani. If the BJP wants to continue as a national party, it must get rid of dead wood within itself, and also distance itself from unwilling suitors like JD(U), SAD, RLD and even SS. Its best bet is 'ekla chalo re'.

I am sure this is the time you guys put your real demands to Congress. 1.Implementation of Sharia in phases 2. Imposition of Jizia on non-Mizzlims 3. Ban of Mizzlim girls marrying Hindus men but sate benefits for Hindu girls to marry Mizzlims. 4. Freedom or full autonomy to Jammu and Kashmir but gaurantee of financial support from Indian state 5. Freedom to slaughter cows openly across India 6.20% clooeges/Universities to get minority status and 100% reservation in such institutes. Also 20% reservation in rest of colleges for Mizzlims 7.Faith schools to be allowd just for Mizzlims and on govt. grant. 8. Diplomatic cut off with Israel 9. Financial support by India to all poor Mizzlim countries 10. A mosque close to every Hindu temple and permission to proselytize Hindooos 11. Ban on Mizzlim converting to any other faith under any circumstances.
By using the faces of Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi Congress has elected all corrupt people in the Nation. Now they all are free for corruption and to collect black money. Congress will support them by not taking any action against those corrpupts as it is a tradition of congress to support corrupts and to promote corruption in the country.

He is being honest. SameerD, let's gracefully accept the defeat, looking forward to 2014. Keep complaining even at this stage reflects poorly on us.. Wot say?
1. Corruption: Both parties are full of corrupt politicians. There are few good men on both sides like Modi and MMS. These guys are clean and work for the commoner.As for others the less said the better. 2. Communalism/Secularim: BJP uses Hinduvta to get votes and Congress uses Minority appeasement so there is no difference on this front. They are 2 sides of the same coin. 3. Ecoonomy: India's economic progress has happened because of the hard working middle class who do their best to provide quality education to thier children. So neither party is better on this front either. 4 Terrorism: This is one of the biggest problems facing the country and i say this because i know someone who got hurt on 26/11.We are being bombed almost every alternate day. On this front i find BJP better since they bought laws like POTA which is needed in these desparate times. Congress had failed the nation on this front. They repealed POTA and turned Afzl Guru into a hero.
I voted for BJP because of this difference in attitude to deal with terrorism otherwise i dont see a great difference between the two. Please tell me where i have erred?

1) Corruption is endemic but the Congress is far more trustworthy. Dr MMS is probably the cleanest politician in decades. Apart from him there is P. Chidambaram, Pranab Mukherjee to name a few. BJP incidentally has none. From Advani to the last man standing in that pary they are a bunch of crooks. Modi is nothing but a media creation & his clean image is highly doubtful.
2) Hindutva & Secularism are not the same. Secularism is respect & inclusiveness of all religions while Hindutva stands for hatred of all other religions other than Hinduism.
3)Economy does not grow simply by people working hard. It needs the right policies & impetus to grow which Dr MMS has ably displayed.
4) BJP did nothing to counter terrorism effectively while it was in power. We had Kandahar & bombing of J&K assembly as well as our Parliament. On 26/11 BJP politicians descended on Mumbai and were canvassing for votes when our nation was attacked. This is the most despicable thing about the BJP. Nothing but a bunch of opportunists. Repealing a law like POTA will not help you to counter terrorism.

The terror attacks in india are mostly done by BJP supporters for cheep gains of blaming the ruling party. The people has undurstood their color and felt that BJP is a terrorist party and they voted for congress.

hmm..i don't think people really did that thinking BJP is terror group! I guess real reason as pointed out above in the article is that BJP raised wrong issues which were not important for the people who voted...while NREGA, Loan Waiver and 6th pay commission were important for them...hence the tilt!

Ram Prasadji, Think before writing in any forum. If BJP is behind the terror attack in India than the Congress would have hanged all the BJP people. The terror attack held when the NDA was ruling than as per your logic the Congres was behind all those attack to blame the NDA. The Kargil, Attack on Parliament etc. was done by Congress to defame the NDA. Can you tell me why Afzal Guru is not hanged inspite of Supreme Court verdict. Why fast track court is not set up so that day to day trial can be held against Kasab.I can understand that you are a congress supporter but in a democracy if there is no strong opposition party than the power goes to the head of the ruling party. Anyway, can you give me some Ramji ka prasad? Or asking it is communal.
On ibn7, Lalu has given interview in which he thank only Muslims as they have helped in defeating "Communal forces". So that majuority of hindus in karnatka , chattisgarh, gujrat are communal?? Is this seculisnm in which particular community vote in mass so that particuar party wins.No wonder why PM says that minorities( second largest minority who votes in block)have first right of nation's wealth( not the poor. downridden people).

Indira Gandhi led India to nuclear test in 1974 at Pokhran and made sure that Pakistan did not do such test. AB Vajpayee led India to nuclear test in 1998 and encouraged Pakistan to do such test. Now Pakistan has stockpiles of nuclear arsenal and has become a headache for the whole world especially India. I wish AB Vajpayee had acted more smartly and pressurised Pakistan to not conduct the nuclear test. All their stolen nuclear technology would have gone useless, had they not tested it then. Now AlQaeda and Taliban are close to acquiring these nuclear weapons, What could we do as a responsible country ?
