Unconditional support to UPA
by Bipin Bathia on May 20, 2009 12:10 PM  | Hide replies

BSP & SP have offered unconditional support to UPA to keep out BJP out of power ? What is interesting is that both the leaders of the party are facing charges which the CBI is enquiring into. To save their skin for the next five years they have extended their support to UPA. After spitting venom against each other now they do not have shame to sit to-gether. Jai Ho !

Both want CBI to withdraw corruption cases against them in lieu of support for anything that Congress does. Corruption in one way binds political parties.

It is convenient to call BJP communal and brand them always like that as if these guys are secular.

Very true. But congress is able to form government without the support of these two, and they should expose these politicians to general public about their misdeeds they had done in their regime.

@Rahul Kumar. Congress wont do that, as their support may be required in near future, when Raul takes over the charge.

Next election, can be a surprise for BJP, if only they play their card properly. SP, BSP and Congress, will join together and all opposition vote will go to BJP. But for that they need to start working for Assembly elction from now itself at gross route. They forget gross route, hence they were routed.

You are really a strong BJP supporter...even after a humiliating defeat you are so strong that you have already started to advocate for the party. Moreover, please be reminded that even if BJP was in this position they would have aligned with all these parties...the mood was already clear two days ahead of counting when BJP themselves claimed that they will workout strategies to call all the parties to be part of their government formation.

They fought alone in most of the states and suddenly they found Jayalalitha, Chandrababu Naidu, Mayawati, Naveen Patnaik, etc... so close that they also gave charges to certain top leaders to talk with them and bring them to their fold...

Common, what do you call this? isn't it opportunity...

TRS was in AP fighting with grand alliance and just before concluding the final phase of election they were holding hands with the BJP, while BJP didn't want to fight the election there with TRS...what kind of politics is this???

So don't blame at a party, which has come strong and moreover hasn't asked for SPs or BSPs support, either from inside or outside...If someone wants to forcefully gift...then let it be...but don't confuse the voters...People know everything...including what you had said.

Indians are not fools anymore...they know what people say and what they intend to do...

One thing i will admire about you is that you have dared to come out of the humiliating defeat very soon...regards

Learn from Minorities...
by Surya Prakash on May 20, 2009 11:59 AM  | Hide replies

Minorities especially Muslims are always united in their cause. Whether the educated or the uneducated, they really really work towards protecting their religion. You would notice that wherever they are place or position, they put religion first and fight against any threat posed to their religion. They also work in the interest of the nation which should not be doubted. Also keenly have a look at the comments posted by muslims on various forums. They would be always spitting venom against BJP who they feel is a threat to their religion. The Hindus are exactly the opposite. They are least bothered about their religion. This could be also due to the fact that Hindus largely have less interest or time to pray. They do not think about anything from the religion's perspective both in short and long term. Due to this, the religion is becoming weaker and may slowly die. I feel that while practicing secularism and religious tolerence, it is also important to give a thought to protecting Hindusim. This will only ensure that the religion would not cease to exist. Now, I am sure there will be no. of comments by my own hindu friends ridiculing and making nasty comments linking with RSS etc. Let me clarify that this has nothing to do with those organisations. My request to you all - Friends, keep off if you have nothing useful to write and dont waste your time. Many Hindus are not able to forsee the future.

What do u mean protect religion and protect hinduism? where is the threat for anyone's reliogion or hinduism. The threat is an illusion and not reality. So long as you like your religion no one can take it ever from you. Politicians create this threat for their advantage and we people fall pray to their tactics. why? Do I need to protect God or God will protect me? We need to ponder whhether our God is that weak that he needs our help to survive for long in the future? Remember, as history tells...wherever any govt has tried to mix religion with politics and governance, it has seen a pathetic debacle...thats what happened with BJP. If it continues to stick to religion and temple issues I am sure it will not have any future in Indian politics. This time its young India which has voted significantly, and these election results tell us what perception they have about BJP...dammn it...who cares for all the religious issues...and look who talks about protecting God....criminals, corrupt politicians...be it from any party...why do we become fools with them I dont understand.

Motto of every party is too keep BJP out, guess how much they fear from them. Remember the old saying - 100 sunaar ki 1 luhaar ki. BJP can be back with a bang if they corrected themselves by the next 5 years.

When you said "if they corrected themselves" is a clear indication that the party has something wrong in it. So thats why the other parties want BJP to be out...so let them correct and come back later...i hope they will learn their past mistakes and come back well.

What I am feeling in this discussion board is the poor BJP supporters are running away or hiding some where after the election result because they were on high expectation. Dear Saffronis don't worry it is politics you don't have to hide your face or feel shame on yourself, because your PM candidate Advani don't have any shame and accepted to continue as opposition leader instead of resigning, why you people feeling shame. ahaah ahaha ahahah
