Shahi Tharoor is indeed the ideal choice of Foreign Minister. No county in the world will be able to boast of such an educated and polished leadership.

First timer will prove better. At least they will not do disturbt proceeding for sake of making noises. Besides, he knows Foreign affairs much better than long staying MPs in Loksabha. We need qualified persons for job. Not bloody old rouges like Arjun Singh etc.

Sashi Tharur could have been the foreign minister if congress got less seats.Now all the congress oldies and gundas will be asking for ministry. But beware of betraying keralites.We expect elected members in ministry than Anthony and Ravi.

The problem of society is that it is demonic without religion and equally demonic with a lot of it. Religion as an ideology was usher in various parts of the world over thousands of years as a civilising instrument by introducing the mystical fear and influence of an institution called god. It was designed to suppress evil behaviour and promote nobility. Unfortunately religon was hijacked at various points in history to demonic proportions. A modern state must realise that religion in overdose does not necessarily civilise and there must leave it as a private affair of each citizen. It is personal and should remain within the domestic domain of each individual. In a modern society we must learn to respect each religion but also understand its limitations.

Religion becomes demonic when (i) politicians hijack it for their base aspirations, or (ii) when religious leaders themselves start having political ambitions. It is the ganging up of the politicians and religious leaders that creates trouble.

Our problem is, All Politicians, let it be CONGRESS. BJP, LEFT or SP< BSP etc, depend heavily on exploiting relious and caste factor. It is these rouges who have destroyed meaning of relegion. Now a bloody secular is another word being used for hiding behind curtain of relegion. When all the secularists, and Hindutva forces are negatede from vote bank, then only India will gain freedom in real sense. We are being fooled by all the clouns.

As I posted elsewhere, I consider Hinduism as the religion of our forefathers. But again, I have not studied it in any detail. In fact, you may call me an agnostic, if not an atheist.

I still beleive Relegion is very personnel issue for each indivisual. It should never be draged in politics. It is sad that our politicinad always drag it for vote bank purposes. They have misused not only relegion but caste factor also equally. If we have discontent today, it is due to our POLITICIANS. maximum blame goes to CONGRESS and BJP for this. When CONGRESS stsrted appeasment for minority, then BJP started for majority. All other parties divided them as per their choices.

I am not interested in knowing about Islam brother ..as i've read qur'an (Arabic version) and i've knowledge about how and why Islam came about ..i was asking do u know ..I asked u this becoz i noticed that elsewhere u've asked "What is hinduism"so i presumed being a musl1m u might have a different view about what hinduism is , i was hoping to hear your view

Well if we can learn anything from these elections is that religion is not a problem at all. And to say the hinduism is not respected by minorities is generalization to extreme. The very fact that India functions as nation and progresses as a nation in such diversity is proof enough that people love each other. Media has to learn to highlight the positives and ignore the small percentage of fanatics on all sides.
But I like Hinduism and have profound respect for it, it has several good things with a few bad things, just like most other religions.
It is just that some people have exploited religion in India (across all religions), otherwise if you look at it the diversity that is inherent to India is great.
