India is not a democratic country. It is pesudo democarcy run by power and money. There is no dharma. All these days money were buying votes, this time the Italian mafia has bought the voting machines.

India should not be called as a Democartic country. How can we call it democracy when a million caste and region based politcal parties contest election.

EVMs were compromised (bought by money) in some of the states in favor of congress. Put two slaps to those involved they will vomit out everything. This will explain the surprise .

This election initiated the beginning of a new Gandhi Dynasty rule coming. People are still happy , because our our slave like attitude. Before independence , we were slaves of English, before that we were slaves of regional kings.. After Independence it is Nehru-Gandhi Family..
We indians, never understood what is meant by democracy. We don't understand what are our duties and what are our rights.
when 50% of Indians don't vote ( Some people's name don't figure in the list, some don't want to stand in queue to caste their votes, some others for some other reasons..)..This will continue for years to come..
The fault lies with us, we could not project a party which can be alternative to congress to provide stable govt. Greed and Infighiting corrupted BJP and weakened it.
Take example of Orissa, where it is totally wiped out.This happend for the first time 20 years. It was because right candidates were not there. During the previous elections , poor performance in UP was atttributed to strong show by SP/BSP..But what happened this time..? Why Congress surpassed..
There are so many factors, why Cong came to Power..
50% of citizens cast their vote. out of those if a cong candidates gets 30-35% vote, he is winner because there were so many candidates in the fray.

also be aware that in UP mayavati has asked over 100 top govt appointed officials who failed to do the job assigned to them during polls. This include heads of various govt instiutions, companies etc. So democracy is not absolute, there is always a big role of other things. Congi leader , i forgot the name, once made a great statement that "in india you win election by management rather than performance".

BJP stand for equality not minority appeasements. BJP is still growing slowly but definitely.
Mr. Advani with all due respect must resign and pave way for younger generation. BJP need more leaders as it started with. Modi is a great choice.
It's very easy to beat congress, as congress won by luck or at the expense of other parties like SP, BSP, LJP, RJD etc...
BJP votes were never splitted. BJP's failure is mainly attributed to it's inability to raise issues like Ram Sethu, or Mumbai terror or anything which Hindu like to hear about.
Even when a hiNdu sanyasini woman got abused, BJP didn't make it an election issue.
Now in effect BJP is all same as congress. So people rather elected congress that's all.

BJP doesnt stand for shallow opportunist slogans of development at any cost without any principle.. its core ideology is based on dharma .. my advise to my musxlixms brethren is they need to integrated into largely hixndxu ethos instead of maintaining their loyalty to mexcxca and mexdixna and islxamxic barxbxarixanism in india ..of past 1400 years in india.. all the remaining symbols of isl.am.ic conquest in india need to be des.tr.oy.ed and islam in india need to be ind.iani.sed with its symbols of worship in india and not in ara.b.ia..
