How Chidambaram won after recounting?
How the difference came in EVM.This is not a ballot voting where you miss some votes.

Vote difference was less than 3000 over 7 lakh votes... i think manual error can be there in this calculation... And as far i know, agents from all parties are there at counting to see that no fraudalent practice goes on...

A big hole
by Dinesh Chanchlani on May 18, 2009 04:33 PM  | Hide replies

The author reasons that the BJP defeat of 2009 was because of moving towards the right due to Advani and Modi. Can he explain why the BJP lost in 2004 inspite of moving center from right due to Vajpayee?

In 1999 - the BJP was not in the center but largely to the right.

In fact, the Indian electorate is largely right of center/right - the BJP ditched them and has been suffering.

They did much better in 2004 than they did in 2009. And they lost because with its Aam admi plank Congress was much more at the center than BJP with its India Shining. In other words Vajpayee was trying to take it to the center, but it was not at the center enough.

BJP can still have a chance if vajpayee is the candidate. He is a clean man. But those who were with him gave him the 2004 result. Sell total India not only our prestigious companies like balco. Idians are not fool to vote such kind of party.

Baru ji says "The Indian National Congress always occupied the political centre. It may have lurched to the left at times and to the right at times, "... What a party man ...it lurches to left and creates license raj and deproves the country of wealth and bestows corruption for 5 decades and then it lurches to right and in one swing maims 10,000 innocent sikhs in national capital...
