1. absolute majority is 2/3 of the total strength. 2. Congress has got only simple majority i.e., 1/2 of the seats.
UPA won not because it is the best party or a secular party. I personally feel any party which is either pro Hindu or pro muslim can not or should not be called secular. I am secular because I judge people based on their characters and integrity not on the basis of their religion, cast, or countries of origin--I do not like Sonia because I do not get the feeling that she loves India.
UPA won because of large population of illiterate in India who can easily be manipulated by cast, religion or dynasty factor. Another reason was that they attacked Dr. Manmohan Singh who is a sincere and hard working. Although I also feel that he was and will be weak PM--a puppet should I say.

Do you know the facts about India? What is percentage of literacy in India? If I am wrong go and check the numbers. Why you take it as an offense when it is the reality.
I know beggars in India have cell phones but I did not know they have access to computer also.
If there is some leader in congress who is better educated,civilized and has done social work,is selfless-will sonia appoint him PM b4 rahul? With so many senior leaders in congress why do we want rahul to lead-just bec he is rajeev gandhi's son? I accept dat rajjev was a gd person but why cant we judge ppl on their own merit?

A question for all kangress suppporters- It is well known rahul has a columbian girlfriend who he intends to marry.So will u accept her as a future leader like sonia? what r rahul's and priyanka's credentials dat u support them? is just being some politicians son or daughter enough? When will we stop this dynasty rule?
