` BJP Lost Because....
by Ramesh Anand on May 18, 2009 02:24 PM  | Hide replies

BJP lost this extremely vital elections for India because the people of India-
1. Do not want Afjal Guru to be hanged.
2. They liked the policy of Indian govt. in tackling the Jehad revolution in India.
3. They want the Indian Muslims to have the first right over the resources of India.
4. Want Five more Muslim Universities to be opened in India as recommended by Khachchar and as approved by Indian government.
5. want the Mughal heritage to be preserved at any cost but the heritage of foolish ancient Indians to be destroyed.
6. want to believe that Rama was a fiction as was the official version of India
7. OKeyed the killing of Swami Laxmananand,90 years of age who was a hinderance in the way of service being rendered by Christian Missionaries by way of conversion.
8. want Muslim league of India to continue to play partner of Congress for next five years.
9.feel that terrorists killing in Mumbai and Delhi were sort of natural incidents which need not be taken seriously .
10. do not like Advani or Modi. They like Sonia and Rahul

BJP should take victory and defeat ...
by Hago Kiruttinan on May 18, 2009 10:29 AM

with equanimity. The Pandavas suffered ignominy and defeat but did not swerve from the path of righteousness and stuck to Lord Krishna's instructions. Likewise BJP should concentrate on serving the Nation and not be cowed down by defeat. The country needs BJP. It is a great party with principles and good basics.

Reasons for Congress Win and BJP's Failure to win
by R Prasad on May 18, 2009 02:08 AM

1) UPA, Election Commission and media together created fear of BJP among Muslims and Christians by planting fake "hate speeches" in Varun Gandhi's mouth and thereby consolidating minority votes all for Congress and UPA parties. This is the biggest winning factor for UPA. Also, Congress created "Sri Ram Sene" and Muthalik to defame BJP nationally by sensationalizing a small incident. Media is bigger enemy of BJP than Congress. The same fear mongering against BJP used by spreading misinformation on Kandhamal and Orissa.

2) Even though Congress has won, BJP has not lost. It's number of seats reduced but, it still got more or less same number of seats. The actual losers were Left, SP, RJD and LJP. BJP and new parties like PRP and DMDK played spoilsport on TDP,TRS, AIADMK and indirectly helped Congress and DMK by splitting anti-incumbency votes.

3) Betrayal of BJD at last minute and lack of party base in several states cost BJP dearly. In states like AP, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Bengal (except Darjeeling) the BJP is virtually non-existent nor has any allies.

4) BJP's own strategic errors like talking about 2014 PM etc also cost it dearly.

5) At the start of campaign, BJP and NDA started with UPA's betrayal of Aam Aadmi, but then fully distracted later. Common man(many of them poor) cares about daily life issues and problems such as price rise, lack of water, unemployment, energy, health care rather issues like Swiss bank money, Terr0r1sm and IT etc. "Ram Mandir" issue in the m

If it is true than NDA had badly loose more seats in thieir rulling states such as BIHAR,GUJARAT,MP, CHHATISGADH, KARNATAK,HP & PUNJAB.He was the convinor of NDA than why he can't prevent it before election.
Actually gain by UPA have more from 3rd & 4th front compared to NDA.
This accused by Sharad Yadav who wants to create back ground & convince the people before leaving NDA (like PATNAYAK BLAME AFTER SEPARATIONM) so that in future election at BIHAR they can't effected badly as LALU & PASWAN.
As a coalition partner differences can be solved in private.
I assume that when election in Bihar comes he will come out from NDA. IF he stays with NDA after Bihar coming election than I would say his comment is thinkfull may thinkover it seriously.

BJP needs to come of age.
by Indian on May 17, 2009 04:05 PM  | Hide replies

Hardline Hindutva is no more attracting the mass when people are not getting some of their basic needs like food, water, employment, power, roads, transport and are burdened with various taxes, inefficient bureaucrats, corrupt govt. officials etc. BJP failed to address some key issues like these and failed to highlight their past achievements and future course of action to enlighten the common people.
Terrorism is affecting only metros and A-class cities and so it was never an issue with the villagers or small-town people. Also the Ram temple issue has become a joke now but BJP clung to it even now.
Count Cong masterstroke of buying out the media (NDTV in particular) to conduct favourable exit-polls and continuous propaganda to create an impression among the literate mass which also helped.
Dr. Manmohan Singh's clean image also helped.

Before next election, NDA/BJP must take care of all these if they wish to win. People of India should also observe the performance of the elected MPs closely and reject non-performers henceforth. That will be help create a true democracy.

congress purcahsed some section of media promote upa and puppet pm as good and bjp communal.
MOST MASTER STROKE ARRESTING ONE SADVI, SADU SAINIK AND CREATED A BRAND OF HINDU TERRORISTS
COngress will do anything and everythig for 29% minority votes.
In other 5 more yers of upa rule, india will be islamic rebuplic and jihadi R gandhi will be PM After some days there will be serial of blasts and innocent hinduw will be butchered to fabricated sotries to please minotiry vote bank
When your own ppl will be burnt alive in train, victims of bomb blast while doing shopping for festive season or doing prayer
or butchered by jihadie and kicked out of locality you will realise how dangerous is congress divide and rule under secular & minority tag
why minority hinuds in JK, assam, tripura, sikkim, nagaland did not get the same treatment as the minoirty muslim and xians get in rest of india
that congress dirty politics under secular tag

Why we lost
by NEELAKANTAN R on May 17, 2009 02:44 PM  | Hide replies

I voted for BJP and was voting since my eligibility of voting came.Friends Modi need not learn from a woman who comes when her mother and brother is contesting. What is her contribution to this country who says she want to see her brother as bridegroom and then PM. We should shed this sycophancy of Gandhi family.
Why BJP lost is because of the negative campaigning made by them. In the era of Vajpayee the campaigning was on positive issues and not on individual attacks. Even Indira Gandhi had consulted Mr. Vajpayee on several issues. Mr. PV Narasimha Rao was the only PM who was bold enough to send an opposition leader like Vajpayee for UN to tackle Pakistan. I remember Mr. Vajpayee telling when the 13 day ministry was voted out, we were two MPs in 1984 and now we have come to this stage. We will come back and rule and he did it. Where as congress was a single largest party with more than 400 seats and today they are in alliance with all regional parties to gain seats. Unfortunately BJP is pictured as a communal party by all the media persons. Was this there during the period of Mr. vajpayee. Mr. Advani should think about this and learn from that. It was not because BJP projected Modi they lost it was because of negative campaigning. Now it is a right time to start rework of all the exercises.
There are much efficient young people in BJP, the leader should try to develop them and grow. Please stop the ego clashes what ever we have in between. This party is cadre based party

Role of media is very strong. It will be very tough battle for anyone to counter Cong on that front. They are slaves of Nehru family. Except Cong who else, would give Padma awards to the likes of Teesta.

Dear frnd, think again n dont vote to take country back. Before teh result day there were 4 astologist @ Star News and they all said that there is no chance of MMS for the PM and still Murli Manohar Joshi n others in BJP want this sub to be included in the University curiculum as they think its a science.Of course its not but the BJP knows that this type of course will be usefull for one community only..so they push it this communical agenda.....
