THIRD AND FOURTH OPPORTUNISTIC FRONT
by Sharad on May 18, 2009 03:52 AM

The 3rd and 4th opportunistic fronts will CONTINUE TO CHANGE THEIR COLOURS as the situations present themselves. These are like VULTURES circling above. They will ALIGN THEMSELVES in any fashion to ROB PEOPLE'S TAXES to enrich themselves by getting into power by hook or CROOK (it befits their character).

People have identified and shunned the third and fourth category Fronts as they are harmful for the country. their utterences and blackmailing showed their real Calibre! For how long you can tolerate meaningless slogans like Secularism? Good Riddance.

Left is
by Kuldeep Khatau on May 17, 2009 08:52 PM

People of India were fed up with those LEFT parties and ultimatly left them out of creating any further mess in the reform process. Now since they have been outnumbered they cant really halt the economic progress India might be able to acheive in the next 5 yrs. Hope those 'oldies' get the message from the election that India hates negative people like them.

Third Front??????
by Manian Vasudevan on May 17, 2009 08:09 PM  | Hide replies

The names 'Third Front', 'United Front',' National Front' and all such humbug fronts would surface only before Elections. This practice is the master plan of the Left parties, whose only agenda is to ensure that no party gets a clear majority to rule the nation. The Left and some adamant regional parties always want a hung Parliament, so that they can cash in with their handful of MPs.

Now, after so many years, a single National party has gained above 200 seats on its own. I hope this trend will continue and the era of coalition confusion in India comes to an end soon, so that stable Governments, with ability to take bold decisions to take the country forward could be taken without much fuss.

I also hope that the Left will never have a say at the Centre in future

considering umopteen number of attempts these parties have made to form a stable front to form the government with various permutations and combinations, their front should be rechristened Nth Front.

Poll Mathematics
by R S on May 17, 2009 07:56 PM  | Hide replies

The " Poll Mathematics " is entirely different from Other kinds of mathematics. This should be a new field by itself.
WHEN POLITICAL PARTIES FORM ALLIANCES THEIR TOTAL VOTE SHARE WILL ALWAYS BE FAR LESS THAN SUM OF THEIR INDIVIDUAL VOTE SHARES.
I think the maths become completed by the addition of another IMPORTANT dimension - People. The transfer of votes of one party to one of its allies is NOT AUTOMATIC. The political parties should stand firmly by their ideology instead of bending or standing crooked by their allies ideologies. I think people have become smarter, and cannot be treated as herds of cattle by the political class.

Well said!We have tendency to go back to our original system of 600 princly states and take pride in our regional identity. It is natural considering our vast country and population and cultural & religious diversity. Some political parties and politicians take this opportunity and gather votes to fulfil their political ambitions. It is a miracle and Gods' blessing that we are still one as India. God Bless India!

Putting up a brave front, Prasad said his party was successful in its mission to "destroy" the NDA and stop BJP leader L K Advani from becoming the prime minister of the country.

"We are successful in our mission. Our mission was to destroy NDA and not let BJP leader L K Advani become the prime minister," he said.

Pork is taboo there just as beef is here, for the most part. And it's the Congress who has brought in minority politics, vote bank politics. Haven't be ruled enough in the past by foreigners such as Mughals, Ports / French (partially) and then the Angrez Firangs. Now u want an Eytie to rule us. U must be a die hard Pasta agent, and to boot, porkie & beefie too, in the garb of a concerned Desiwallah. The only alternative avbl for u is go drown in the Italian seas, after getting shot at by the mafiosi, carabineri. Leave us Indians to ourselves__ no firang bahu to lord it over us.
