Well said!We have tendency to go back to our original system of 600 princly states and take pride in our regional identity. It is natural considering our vast country and population and cultural & religious diversity. Some political parties and politicians take this opportunity and gather votes to fulfil their political ambitions. It is a miracle and Gods' blessing that we are still one as India. God Bless India!

Putting up a brave front, Prasad said his party was successful in its mission to "destroy" the NDA and stop BJP leader L K Advani from becoming the prime minister of the country.

"We are successful in our mission. Our mission was to destroy NDA and not let BJP leader L K Advani become the prime minister," he said.

Pork is taboo there just as beef is here, for the most part. And it's the Congress who has brought in minority politics, vote bank politics. Haven't be ruled enough in the past by foreigners such as Mughals, Ports / French (partially) and then the Angrez Firangs. Now u want an Eytie to rule us. U must be a die hard Pasta agent, and to boot, porkie & beefie too, in the garb of a concerned Desiwallah. The only alternative avbl for u is go drown in the Italian seas, after getting shot at by the mafiosi, carabineri. Leave us Indians to ourselves__ no firang bahu to lord it over us.

Underhand deal with congress
by anil b on May 17, 2009 06:07 PM

Hi,

I suspect karat and congress had underhand deal or Naidu, jaya and others whoc joined are outright fools since im most places congress has won by getting minority votes since the opposition votes have been splintered . Andhra Chiranjive , maha MNS , TN Vijaykanth , UP maya and sp divided the Hindus votes . The BJP shopuld ponder over this and if they can solve this riddle they will win 300 seats on their own .They have to get the SC/OBC and few upper caste votes and they trounce the opposition.

The Wise Electorate'' of KARNATAKA
by Rehan Sharieef on May 17, 2009 05:34 PM  | Hide replies

Congratulations! Once again the "WISE ELECTORATE" of Karnataka have successfully voted the eventual opposition to power in the state. By doing this consistently in the last few elections the "WISE ELECTORATE" of Karnataka have ensured that their state is subject to step-motherly treatment by the ruling party at the centre and miss out on development funds and investment projects. The "WISE ELECTORATE" of Karnataka have hence made sure that Karnataka remains condemned and lags behind other southern states from a progress standpoint. The "Wise Electorate" of Karnataka elects BJP when Congress is at the ruling centre and elects Congress when BJP is at the ruling centre and when they can’t make up their minds the "WISE ELECTORATE" choose Devegowda and his siblings.
