Hai Hari,

Even at this time, this man (i.e, the Chief of PMK) will not realise his mistakes.

What a arrogance & Opportunitism by this party?

no shundaram is right. A number of my friends in the chennai central constituency received 5000Rs and threats if they did not go vote.

the interesting part is that Chennai central is among the safest seats for dmk.

I too am happy to see the PMK not getting a seat. the elder ramadoss took the toil of countless vanniyars to make his son a central minister through the back door. That made his voters re-coil. I hope the dmk voters will do the same to karunanidhi

The Margin of Victory for Dayanidhi was a mere 32000 , way fron the 2 Lack margin of victory last time.
Had not The Manidha Neya Makkal katchi put in their Candidature Dayanidhi would have lost by more than 1 lakh Vote.
Most of the results were rigged.
In fact CHID actually lost when Recounting was done 3 times. But Muscle power and with CEC Chawla on their side one more EVM was included in the last minuted after Declaring AIDMK has won shows blatant misuse of Power.see rediff report on results from 1500 Hrs to 18 oo hrs.
But PMK rout is a matter of Great JOY. As you said Last time If they had Made AK Murthy minister it would have been wonderful.Justwatch, AKmoorthy will Join AIADMk.He is a Youngster only 45 years young and hard task master. He lost due to baalus money Power

it is a fact that ANBUMANI RAMADASS is BRAHMIN HATER . he got his medical degree thro'quota and never practised.( thanx for that , a lot of people are still living ).he hounded DR>venugopal, the world known heart surgeon , and the first doctor of INDIA who had done the FIRST heart Transplantation with minimum facilities available at that time. ramadass has failed to know that "all human lives are same for a doctor and NO caste or color should decide otherwise."

apart from this ANBUMANI is a corrupt political doctor, because of him a lot of children died in fake polio cases. the fake drug racket was thriving in INDIA because part of the gang and sharing the loot.
though i am from a different state, i thank the people of CHENNAI for kicking ANBUMANI RAMADASS,hard on his posterior .

please, please, continue doing this to him so that he does not enter delhi ,thro'back door.

by sithik mohamed on May 18, 2009 01:48 AM

politicians are opurtunist and change like cameleon But PMK they got the cameleon endorsement for their open and shameless actions dont mind the peoples. Ditching anything for hanging in power. It is really wonderfull being a small party not able to win even in a strong alliance, but hanged in the power almost a decade. Now everyone knows what is their real strength. They have to show their potential by standing alone and show the % of votes in next election like Vijakanth. they may loose their status as the regional and national party by do so

good work
by Guest on May 18, 2009 12:46 AM  | Hide replies

First of all DMK should be appreciated for their best efforts they put to defeat PMK in all the seats they contested. It was because of PMK's back door work to try and dissolve the DMK ruling party in TN by trying to pull congress to the AIADMK alliance after the elections were over, since they thought they would win all 40 seats.

This angered the DMK leaders and they put all their efforts and more money specifically in these constituencies and has successfully defeated this PMK. I don't think this party will be respected as it was respected for the past decade. The party's strong hold was Dharmapuri, where they claimed to have 50% vote bank, and they miserably failed there. They won't speak out for long time to come. It will take long time for them to come out of this situation. Dr. Anbumani has done lot of good things for the people of TN and India, except some mistakes, but they did a big mistake of switching alliance once more and it cost them dearly.

Also what an arrogance! The way they threatened cine stars and looted theatres showing Rajanikanthi's movies and Vijayakanth's movies had landed them into such mess. Moreover, the indecent behaviour towards Vijayakanth's DMDM party by AIADMK and PMK had eroded their vote base. See all the constituencies in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. In almost 99% of the constituencies DMDM spoiled the winning opportunities for PMK or AIADMK. Vijayakanth proved that he cannot be ignored.
