PMK out
by Gautaman T on May 18, 2009 09:20 AM

The party and its leaders have invited this upon themselves. All parties switch allies, but PMK was openly opportunistic and has now burnt its fingers. The party leaders also tend to make statements threatening violent rebuttals against whatever they opposed, like Chennai airport expansion etc. Now they can observe more restraint if they want to survive and come up in politics again.

arrogant Anbumani ...WHERE ARE YOU NOW ?
by ramchand on May 18, 2009 09:01 AM  | Hide replies

ARROGANT anbumani ramadass has HUMILIATED world famous heart surgeon Dr.Venugopal, who conducted the first heart transplantation in INDIA, succesfully, because DR Venugopal is a BRAHMIN.

during his period as the so called health minister, the fake drug manufacturing units were established all over INDIA since he was a partner in all these rackets and looted the country.
a lot of people have died because of taking fake drugs , for which we should hold ANBUMANI responsible and try him in a medical court and awrd death punishment for him.
only then indian politicians will learn their lesson ,NOT to play with the lives of the people of INDIA.

by Tamilan on May 18, 2009 09:00 AM

Peopled answered very clearly, they never allow the party's based on castes. Especially in TN, PMK is the spiler of the harmoney of the tamil community. Soon, they will be vanished from TN politics.

Good riddance

Anbumani, despite his suave looks and composed talks, his incisively dishonest and more than a chamcha to the vile machinations of his unscrupulous daddy. tThough his campaigns against Tobacco & liquor were admirable, the bad publicity he invited in Venugopal affair was indeed deplorable. No one is going to miss him!

routing of PMK
by suryanarayanan ramesh on May 18, 2009 08:06 AM  | Hide replies

I am the most Happiest person in this entire world that PMK of TN has beeen completely defeated & routed.

It's chief Ramadoss is the sole responsible for the defeat. It's been a regular practice for this party they switch over to different alliances at different time that too at the crucial juncture.

PMK neither have policies & Principles & have not done anything 2 their vanniyar community & infact they have cheated them over the years. This party's chief & family & relative have made good money during bargaining especialy at the time of elections & seat sharing.

It's High time that both the AIADMK & DMK should keep apart from the PMK without aligning with them in future by teaching them a fitting lessson.

How long this party can fool the people of TN?

It's time for Celebration.

More than any result, i was very hsppy to see that Ramadass's party is Routed completely. The Margin of defeats except in my Constituency wasmore than 85000 in 3 places and above 1 lakh in other 3 places.
I think there was a tacit understanding between Jaya and Karuna to destroy this party.
Moreover i thing the Liquor Industry also pumped in money including putting up a candidate Jakathratchakan who owns a liquor blending and Bottling Plant.
The way Anbumani treated Dr Venugopal was deplorable....and Dr Venugopal had the last laugh on all th eoccasions.

Now both DMK and AIADMK should Dump PMK for ever.
Hail Tamilian Voters.

Lesson for PMK
by kamal Haasan on May 18, 2009 05:48 AM  | Hide replies

By this result, people showed to PMK that we need party which cares about people and not about winning alliance. But I wish that A.K.Murthy could have atleast won this election. In last term, PMK dumped him and projected his son for the entire term. But one man would be very happy on this result and it is none other than Mr.Venugopal of AIIMS.

margin of loss
by Antony Terrance on May 18, 2009 05:17 AM

To top it up, they lost by a huge margin of about one lakh votes except in Sriperumbudur, where A.K. Moorthy lost to T.R. Balu by 25,000 votes.
