Swiss Bank money.
by Sukumar Mehta on May 17, 2009 11:41 PM  | Hide replies

Whether Mr Advani stays leader of opposition or not, whether he remains in active politics or not, I wish to see that he continues his "struggle" to bring back Indian money in Swiss Bank, till he lives, so that the country is convinced that it was not his election time stunt to reach the PM's chair. Having raised this issue of Swiss Bank money, Mr Advani owes it to the country to continue to pursue this objective, selflessly ( selflessly means, even with his dream of PM-ship unfulfilled).

That is before the court now. It is only for the court to decided. Go and see sri lankan issue and then comment here.

Before 16 May 2009, Advani was Majboot & Magroor Neta but now he is MAJBOOR Neta. What a pity - life can become so miserable just in 2 days. Next PM-in-Waiting should never forget this.

Good Opposition Leader in Democacy.
by cm dhingra on May 17, 2009 07:27 PM

For Democracy to survive & prosper, need of the hour is a Good Opposition Leader who can play the required role on behalf of all opposition parties and not as a Leader of BJP alone. The role of Opposition Leader is to oppose any wrong policies which affect the people and their democratic rights but it is a pity that during the last 5 years Opposition Leader has been opposing everything just for the sake of it. Further, whosoever becomes the Opposition Leader must be asked to carefully study the Constitution and should also regularly consult leaders of other parties so as to adopt a common strategy.
In the present circumstances and going by the seniority & experience, I feel Mr.M.M.Joshi is the right person for the job. But BJP will have to ensure that he is not nominated as another PM-in-Waiting otherwise he will also start behaving more like a would be PM than a Opposition Leader as happened in the last 5 years.

Modi will cause further damage
by ravi kumar on May 17, 2009 07:17 PM

If modi is projected as the next leader of the party and PM candidate , BJP will do worse than this election.

modi may motivate the BJP/ sangh cadre.

but modi will ensure that all minority vote to the congress , and that is substantial 15-17%.

Modi as PM candidate will also ensure moderate hindu voters away from the bjp.

moderate hindu voters do not appreciate bjp's strident divisive politics.
bjp will do well if they have inclusive policies catering to all sections of society irrespective of caste, religion and creed
