BJP SHOULD NOT DO:
NOT SPREAD HATRED AMONG COMMINITIES
NOT SHOW SUCH A DEEP PREJUDICE TO NON_HINDUS
NOT ENCOURAGE POLITICIANS LIKE VARUN GANDHI, PRAFUL TOGADIA, NARENDRA MODI
NOT MAKE PERSONAL ATTACKS ON LEADERS OF OTHER PARTIES.
NOT LIVE IN A STATE OF MAKE BELIEVE WHERE THEY THINK EVERY BODY HAS HAS FAITH IN BJP.
NOT HAVE DOUBLE STANDARDS -- WHEN THEY ATTACK MANMOHAN SINGH FOR FIVE YEARS IN THE DIRTIEST LANGUAGE THEY THINK IT IS THEIR RIGHT ; BUT WHEN MANMOHAN SINGH GIVES IT BACK THAT RASCAL ADVANI SAYS "HE IS HURT"-- WHAT ABOUT MANMOHAN SINGHS HURT?
NOT RAISE NEW ISSUES FOR VOTES JUST PRIOR TO ELECTION -- LIKE MONEY IN SWISS BANKS--EVEN MY PET DOG CAN MAKE OUT THAT IT IS JUST CONNING PEOPLE.
NOT CRITICISE PEOPLE BUT CRITICISE POLICIES
NOT CITICISE OTHER PARTIES POLICIES WHEN THEY DONT HAVE ONE THEMSELVES.

IS ALL THIS POSSIBLE. ANSWER : NO. SO BETTER KICK THEM OUT OF OUR POLITY.

They have fulfilled all the above requirements which resulted in their defeat. Now they have five years time. Make some good and healthy suggestions so that they may come back.

* There is NO such thing as Hinduism **till** 85% of all registered marriages in India are INTER-CASTE.
* Till then the truth is there are NO Hindus in India.

He should not...
by umamahesh kar on May 17, 2009 01:09 PM

His contribution to the BJP and the nation is immense. But at 83, it is time for him to bow-out. It is time the second rung BJP leadership took over to be prepared for 2014. Jaswant, MM Joshi, Yashwant Sinha, Tripathi, Shekhawat should follow suit and remain in the background. Mayawati seems to be having a strategy for each and every state in India, even though her presence is marginal. BJP must to some thing about AP, TN, WB, Kerala - These states send about 140 MPs and BJP can not win a single seat ! I have never seen any effort by BJP about this major weakness. Hope the new leadership will address this as well as other strategic issues.

Advani is a Politician; MMS is a Statesman.
by New York on May 17, 2009 01:07 PM  | Hide replies

"A politician thinks of the next election; a statesman of the next generation." -- Unknown

* Advani has FAILED to answer MMS's simple question till date.
* What did Advani accomplish for India? (covertly demolishing BABRI MASJID?)
* MMS personal contribution to India is inking NUCLEAR DEAL with Nuclear Suppliers Group.
* And MMS defied Communists to get the deal ratified in the Parliament.

Learn from mistakes

All evil designs backfired at BJP:

Women attacks which led parents to feel insecure to send their daughters outside home for the fear of unexpected attacks and also the evil wave travelled across India, Pub attacks, Church attacks, Mosque attacks, Arson, rapes, murders, violence everywhere, Kandhamal, Gujarath genocide, Varuns hate and divsion oriented speech, polarising society in the name of culture and religion, hindu terror which killed innocent hindus, Mocking decent man like Manmohan ..... BJP has terribly lost to its own ploys of bringng bad name to others. It is a disaster for BJPeee. I am happy for the verdict. Indian people are mature enough to judge the parties.

A person who has great experience of Politics and has been a Home Minister in past, is not good for the top post. and One leader who is born in one family has the right of becoming PM. Great Democracy.

BJP NEEDS MATURITY
by ravi kumar on May 17, 2009 01:00 PM

BJP ran a most immature campaign.
modi addressed over 300 rallies - 80 in gujarat and over 200 outside gujrat. what was his campaign content. GUDIYAM BUDIYA,AFZAL GURU,WEAK PM.does modi think the electorate is so immature to react and get convinced by such innane and immature speeches. and to think modi was one of the bjp's star speakers.
nitesh was lucky he put his foot down and said he did not want modi to campaign in bihar,or else he may have not got the majority he got.
Advani's campaign was solely centred on trying to potray MMS as a weak PM. whereas the electorate did not think so. advani spoke of terrorism and security when his record itself on this issue was full of holes .
throughout bjp's campaign there was no talk of policy-economic,foreign etc.
people want jobs, growth, infrastructure , education, medical care, housing etc. did bjp's campaign touch on any of these issues.NO.
they spoke of black money in swiss banks , as if it happened only during UPA's tenure and never was an issue in their earlier NDA tenure.
the amounts bandied about was a figment of imagination and the poor and the rural electorate could not understand the impact of the thousands of crores bjp was talking about in swiss banks.they are interested in a few hundreds of ruppes a month for their food , medicine, education etc.
people want policies of inclusiveness involving all societies of people
