What we have to do doing forward
by kishorh on May 16, 2009 05:33 PM  | Hide replies

India should bring compulsory voting so that educated ppl do not rest at home thinking that they get a long weekend to relax. Majority out of 50% votes in 100 plus crores constitute vote banks and uneducated class. even if Congress won or BJP had won 50% of that it becomes just 25% of the population and still 75% of people of country do not agree with or vote to a different party.

Border security to be srengthened so that infilteration is not encouraged.
Try to Implement good agendas of BJP such as bringing black money from swiss bank for national interest.

Performance of BJP
by Tiger on May 16, 2009 05:33 PM  | Hide replies

BJP deserved a better verdict considering the performance of BJP ruled states.
BJP's all merits are overshadowed by it communal image.

Communal issue is not an issue in the caste ridden society, But BJP does not have wisdom for positive campaigning

yes, it is strategically done by congress and other parties. any communal riot was deliberately related to either BJP or sangha parivar so that minority hate them and vote congress. More dalits were instigated and made to act hostile against BJP by congress conveniently. Failure to bring in Modi as PM candidate was another set back. Modi is pro development and would have been more ideal. failure of small parties was gain for congress.

It was BJP failure to convince people that it was better
by G S on May 16, 2009 05:32 PM

Cong didn't win it's own but because there was no good alternative...BJP didn't project young PM and Advani has no new agenda to bring on the table.
Corruption hough heavily prevalent in people in power ..but people didn't care about them.

Dynasty, Italy and Quatorocchi also got diluted and didn't bother voters.

So i am assuming that Indian voters didn't care for anything else other than continuiy..

BJP may gain out of this and now may have more muslim in it's ranks and become more inclusive party...

Even congress didn't field enough muslims but more muslims within ranks and file of party will make others to label bjp as communual and them secular difficult.

MEDIA MANAGEMENT-where BJP failed.
by Bhagath on May 16, 2009 05:28 PM  | Hide replies

BJP should think seriously about the hidden agenda of English Media and Congress. It costs a lot for BJP.BJP must keep away from atleast 3 media faces like TOI,CNN IBN and NDTV and should take initiation to start an alternative Media culture in india.

perfectly true. one national media where they can highlight the issues constantly will more localisation is required. BJP has to start a media aggressively and give the facts to people with statistics like how modi does.
