Winds of change
by Great Bihari on May 17, 2009 12:19 AM  | Hide replies

I think these Bengalis are lazy people. They are real beggars. Begging on occasion on Durga Puja, rather extorting. Always barking in Bengali. Too much proudy people. Kick them out of Bengal and see how Bengal progress. It will progress only due to biharis’ hard work and sweat.

and what the hell do are begalies supposed to bark in??..Bhojpuri?? r u mad?? if you are not supposed to bark in bengali then we aren't supposed to bark in Bhojpuri or magahi or maithili either. and by the way you must have barked a lot in bengali in school(if you are EDUCATED!!) during your morning prayers because the national anthem written By Tagore is a BENGALI poem you idiot. See Idiots like you even made me write like a parochial bengali on this forum which I am not, one of the reasons being that I love Hindi.

so be a great Bihari like Ashoka the great who unified whole of India, be like Gautam Buddha who enlightened this world with his wisdom, be a bihari like them, and not like Mr. Laloo. and go and get yourself a mental checkup at PMCH before writing on this forum. and Bengalies by the way know how to kick ass, the Urdu speaking Biharis who supported the Pakis in East Pakistan, their ass was kicked after the creation of Bangladesh and they are still living in refugee camps. EVen pakistan doesn't want to accept them. DOn't create the same situation In India dude. Love u dumbass!

Mr. Bihari, though I can abuse you with the best words available in the Hindi dictionary, I won't because that I have many Bihari friends who are not like you. Bengal is going through a bad patch, just like any other state goes through one in history and the future> look at bihar, it went through a rough patch but now Bihar is improving, I don't need to praise bengal or bengalies here since everybody knows how many bengalies died to get this country liberated, just visit cellular jail in andamans and see the list for yourself, its racist people like you who are pulling the country down. There are a lot more Biharis living in bengal than vice versa, so if mad people like you instigate violence then you know very well what would be done to the biharis in bengal. Remember what Bengalies did to Pakis who tried to impose Urdu on them?? I am not a parochial bengali, and I love my Bihari friends. You are no better than Raj Thackerey. Grow up dude. Be an Indian first.

Bengal deserves a change
by Partha Roy on May 16, 2009 09:49 PM

Let me give my 2 paise, since seen the things very closely.

1. If you oppose left in bengal (till yesterday) on developments, construction, etc, left would hijack it very shrewedly, and use it on their own advantage.

2. Till very recently, mamata couldn't win for two reasons - (i) she showed whimsical traits most of the time; and (ii) people of bengal had doubt whether she could put an effective opposition to the left.

3. The recent nandigram and Singur have changed the landscape dramatically. In the last one year mamata has shown that she is (i) consistent (in opposing left on nandugram and Singur), (ii) and she can pay the LEFT IN THE SAME COIN what the left did to bengal and India for the last SIXTY years. Hence the mass now voted for Mamata. Bengali muslims' anger on Riz issue, sachaar report, etc. did play roles too.

4. Trust me (again I have my ears to the ground, and scavanged the semi-urban areas
at the grass-root level extensively lately) - Mamata is keenly aware that now she has to deliver development for bengal 9and left will try to sabotage it). If she doesn't, then she'll be kaput. The good thing is - there will be a competition between left and mamata who can bring more industries to bengal. left is also very much aware that in two and half years the assembly election will take place, and this will be do or die for both the camps. To some extent, the same holds true for UP and Bihar.

5. Agaqin, what Mamata has done is that she could match lef

Thanks for much awating change in West Bengal. State Chief Minister and other Ministers must resign immediately without delay so that at least they get some vote in assembly election.otherwise probably they will also see the world record defeat in politics ever.

Astrological calculations - Advani the next PM
by SHYAMA PRASAD on May 16, 2009 04:49 PM  | Hide replies

As per my astrological calculations even though UPA has won the Government will collapse after 18 months. At that Time Mr L.K.Advai will be elected as the PM and he will lead the country from the front and rule Bharat Desh for the balance 42 months. During this period he will construct Ram Temple at Sri Ram's birth place - Ayodhya.

WB desperately needed change
by abboral boral on May 16, 2009 04:42 PM  | Hide replies

Left and their misrule have broken and virtually killed one generation of young brain last 30 years .Stats shows that never ever young minds and brains of west bengal could stand on their own due to

1.1947 to 1966 ==people of Bengal suffered due to partisan .Some 3 to 4 lakh people of Bengal died due to riot, hunger ,illhealth ,no shelter and nearly 50 lkah people suffered due to displacement in undivided Bengal
2. 1966 to 1978 --thousands of most brainiest young mind in the world will killed due to naxalism ,so no development in Bengal
3.32 years of misrule in Bengal by left parties killed the aspirations of thousands young minds again

So I can conclude that the pillar of human being that is young brain of west bengal could never stand on their feet due to above reason so how west bengal will stand in development .Try to understand the logic

So time has now come to throw the left and left policies to bay of bengal forever and people should not carried away for this win rather they should work for development only .West Bengal has lost enough brains last 60 years but still brains are available to show the world that they can change the things for world of good for WB

I fully support your sentiments, AND your arguments. Unfortunately, the emotional whimsies of the so-called "opposition" in Bengal cannot be discounted. And, again unfortunately, the Grand Old Party has lost touch with nearly all its bases in Bengal.

Strangely, it may now be wiser for the Opposition to "allow" the LF to continue it's ego-muddled-headed misrule in Bengal for a couple of years so that people can provide — one and for all — the fitting answer to "We are 235, they are 32, what can they do".

Apologies if those figures I quoted are off by a few. I'm NOT a political person, and, as you rightly said, a "drained Bengal brain".

But I have hope that people today would prevent such further erosion of all ethics and values in all sectors of public participation in Bengal.

To quote a song: Jai Ho!

Thank you for that, Mr Boral.

Luckily, after facing the miseries, you could escape. So did I. But, circumstances ordained that I needed to return.

That's why — possibly — I need to have hope. Not only for myself, or my immediate kin. But for the people of Bengal.

One feels like shouting: Wisen them, for they know not what they are missing!

Left & its leaders
by george mathew on May 16, 2009 04:41 PM

The left front ministry is full of old and tired leaders who do not empathize with the general public. Their thinking and decisions are still of 1960. They have not realised that citizens have gone through a full circle in their daily life and they are not aware of the changes that have taken place in the country. The youth of this country does not remain silent spectators any more and today's verdict proves the same
