TMC win and a lesson for the mathemagician
by Raghavendra Bhat on May 16, 2009 04:27 PM

No doubt the Secretary of the CPM will heed to message that arrongant fellow travellers would not be tolerated. The small and marginal farmers have to be pampered and states have to create a market for their produce. In Kerala, the CPM has time only for planning and machinations, none for fixing the badly damaged agricultural sector which requires money and innovation. The schools are in a bad state of disrepair and they resemble slaughter houses, hospitals look more like mortuaries and public amenities are uncared for. Mamatha-di should understand that the TMC should also care for Indian industrialists, ask them to invest and improve West Bengal. The climate for change was long overdue, hope the TMC horse would make the Cong (I) horse work!

whether it is against left or for mamta, the basic point is the people of bengal and kerala (and many others) think nationally and believe that left is the trouble maker for the central government.

Party is Good; but Leaders are not.!!!
by Sasikumar UK on May 16, 2009 04:21 PM  | Hide replies

I am a leftist and supporter of Communism. The Communist Party and it's ideologies are excellent for the people; but it's leaders are GOOD FOR NOTHING. In Bengal, they forgot people and forcibly aquired agri-land for TATA. In Kerala, they are trying to protect their Secretary from CBI case. They even blame that CBI is prejudised-and the same CBI should investigate Arms deal with Israel. THIS TYPE OF DOUBLE STANDARDISED PLAY IS THE MAIN PROGRAM OF CPM LEADERS. They are the main culprits for the damage of this failure of Party; NOT MARX OR HIS IDEOLOGIES.

A Slight Correction, COMMUNISM with SOCIALISM is the real problem that is where u get USSR, COMMUNISM with CAPITALISM is where u have CHINA. Development but no freedom...

COMMUNISM with DEMOCRACY and SOCIALIMS is in India (Bengal Kerla) and u have the worst Industralisation ever !!!!

COMMUNISM CAPITALISM DEMPCRACY is we have in India that is the the recipe i would love to try

if the left had any type of ideology,
1. how could they support the congress last time since they are ideologically opposite.
2. how could they support reservation, since for the commies all people are equal (naturally nobody shd get any special status)

for me the problem is the ideology and attitude of the commies and after that many reasons like leaders, dictatorship etc.

Russia finished Communism and accepted Capitalism before few years; but what is the result? On communist days, Russian people were atleast getting food with equality. Now Russian girls are selling their bodies for daily bread. People in Middle East are witnessing this Russian flow. On Communist days, they had food and pride; now the Capitalism seized all.

Moreover, there is no ISM in the case of Poverty. We are 50year old independent nation. Japan also 50 years after their liberty and Atomic Bombing. What is their position and our's? It is hard working and leaders with far sight. We had a Javaharlal Nehru who adviced us Hospitals and Dams are more important than Temples and Churches. WE SHOULD HAVE SUCH A LEADER AGAIN. INDIA IS WAITING FOR HIM.

Congrats-Bengal & Kerala!
by abhay abhay on May 16, 2009 04:14 PM  | Hide replies

Congrats to the people of West bengla & kerala for having thrown out the Communist yoke which had strangulated growth for over three decades in both thes states.

If Communism is a world wide disaster, how can it succeed in Bengal/Kerala?

If these states elect a non Commi govt in the assembly elections as well, then it could open the gates for investment leading to economic progress.

To all people who voted for TMC
by rahul khanna on May 16, 2009 03:58 PM  | Hide replies

Hi,
First of all congratulations to all of you who voted for a change who voted for mamta. Now see tmc won so many seats and what you wanted happened...but wait..you voted for change right? Wrong..the CPM is still ruling West bengal and will continue to do so till the next assembly elections(yes you read it right this was a lok sabha election and not a assemble election) so what change you voted for? Maybe even you don;t know. Its time to grow out of your regional assumptions and start looking at Lok Sabha elections with natinal interests and not as regional interest.

Hi Mr Khanna,
First of all, thanks a lot for "educating" us tht we participated in Loksabha. Without ur prized words we wud probably hv nevr understood tht. Ur preachings abt wht's right nd wrong is to me a real fun in this seriuos election time. But Mr Khanna, hv u evr been In Bengal?, hv u ever listened to those whu asked for change meant by it.... well i guess u hv no idea wht change means. u r also one of those who go by the literary sense of the term. Cmon grow up nd stop teachng the people of Bengal wht they sud do nd they sud hv done.... btw if u need to understand the meaning of the call for change lemme know pls.. I hope people in Bengal vil be kind enuf to lend their helping hand to make u understand tht
