Politics is the Art of the Possible
by JGN on May 15, 2009 10:35 AM

A few weeks back Congress, BJP and CP (M) had formed an alliance in Sikkim against a small regional party headed by Mr. Pawan Kumar. Earlier there was an (unholy) alliance called KO-LEE-BEE (Congress, Mus1im League and BJP) against CPI (M). Politics is the Art of the Possible. Any permutations and combinations are allowed for enjoying the spoils of power!!

The number behind for BJP
by Virender Bhardwaj on May 15, 2009 10:34 AM  | Hide replies

Now this is a number game. If BJP and allies get 220-230 seats then they will be comfortable to form Government. But in current circumstances it seemed to be very difficult for BJP to achieve it. In north India BJP is suffering badly like state Punjab, Haryana, HP, J&K, Rajasthan, Delhi where are about 65 seats. My estimate here is BJP will get 12-15 seats while congress will get 43-48 seats. They are loosing in Hindu states while what happen in other states, I did not want to say. This time which I think BJP will not get numbers to lead country.

What a shame
by Jitesh Agrawal on May 15, 2009 10:34 AM  | Hide replies

The spineless character that India has shown under UPA and congress over the years has lead to a situation where now even US has openly started interferring into Indian politics. There involvement behind the scenes was for there for all times but now they have come out in open.

No doubt we are gradually going the pakistan way. No nationalist feelings just enjoy life, dont look any further beyond your nose and complain and crib when feel cheated, thats how Indians are.

Wonder how come people dont feel shame to see goons and scoundrels who might not have completed a proper graduation deciding the policies and running the governance.

Who are these politicians trying to fool ? Prakash Karat saying no to congress, third front will form the govt. or something like that. We all know that to keep BJP out of power and in the name of secularism they have to support congress. All channel wallahs are asking irrelevant questions. It boils down to BJP and Non BJP parties. SP,Commies, all are going to support congress.

Even Left and BJP can work togather.
by VISHWANATHA on May 15, 2009 10:30 AM

Earlier Left and BJP has supported VP Singh Government from outside.

This type of patch up is not ruled out.
Some number game. some political chemistry. Some money power- Corruption. Some Local politics. Some Caste politics. Some psedo secularism.

Utlimate Politics became a Proffesion. It is a Product Promotion, Who is able market their respective product properly they are going to win.

At Constituecy Level it is Micro Management and At Parliment Level(Govt forming) its Macro Level.

Over all, after election forgotting the peoples Mandate. There is no clear verdict from people means: Go for Nation Govt. But it is not possible because politicians irrespective of party affiliations they want their own intrest first and National intrest Last.

Final Say: It is the mistake of Customers of Politics i.e Votes/Citizens. Utimate Loss the the Citizens only. Benificiaey is the Corporate Head of Politics who form the Govt(Ruling front Members/Leaders).

Loss to the Aum Admi

Mockery of Democracy
by rani suri on May 15, 2009 10:24 AM  | Hide replies

It is ridiculous that the left and the Congress will go to any lenght to keep the BJP out of power. Hence they continue this communal vs secular card. Can we forget it was the Congress who wooed Bhindranwala and later killed sikhs. Can they really be called secular??
