Congress performance- Amethi- Rae Bareli indicators of capability
by sarathy amudhan on May 14, 2009 11:08 PM  | Hide replies

The clan has not been able to bring about any development even in their pocket boroughs of Amethi and Rae Bareli.First let them prove that they are capable before they are pitch forked to lead the country. If they cannot improve the lot of Amethi & Rae Bareli they will definitely try to bring the entire country to that level.
Bibek Debroy states that 'Purulia, Amethi, Kalahandi and Rae Bareli –- these are India’s most backward regions by any criterion.' Indian Express.
While the media has joined the chorus and singing paeans, people will silently convey their desire through the ballot. It is clear that Cong is on its back foot and can clearly see the writing on the wall. I know when the media will stop acting as Chamchas. Post May 16 you will not find them on Cong Band wagon.

We are the people who elect the government and we are the people who stand in our own way to success. If only we dont think of ourselves and think as a country then may be India will outclass all others...
Forget playing the blame game. work together for once and make the country better....
who needs so many parties to rule a country... who can say that the leaders of their party are pure of heart and dont expect to fill their our pockets...
no one is a white color person...just wait and see how the government rules this period and if you dont like take the next choice the next time...

Non-performance
by Very Far on May 14, 2009 07:14 PM

If the BJP fails to obtain a respectable majority, despite the burden of incumbency on the Congress, Advani must shoulder the responsibility and retire along with the old guard supporting him.
These past few months, Advani has failed to respond to the public mood for change and to revive the enthusiasm for BJP ideals.
His past non-perforamnce and personal ambition have not gone down well with the voter.

4 biggest problems and their solution
by Ram Sharma on May 14, 2009 04:13 PM

4 biggest problems of the country r

- High population and still growing. in 1947 our population was 33 cr, which has grown upto 115 cr. Whereas land area is constant. One child norm (as in China since 1979) with provision of first child after 25 yrs of age must b enforced all over the world.

- Consumerism. High level of consumerism combined with high population means high air & water pollution, shortage of water, petroleum products, food items and global warming. Simple living must b promoted and there should b control on wasteful use of electricity, petroleum products and water.

- Corruption. Corruption has increased tremendously. Most of the politicians ruling us and making laws r highly corrupt. They were traded like goats during trust vote. many of them change parties and alliances as fast as Shivraj Patil changes his suits. People should not elect corrupt people in elections.

- Terrorism. Rajiv's actions on Shah Bano issue, banning of Satanic Verses, and opening doors of Ram temple, dismissing Farooq's govt & rigging elections in K'shmir was responsible for start of communal problems. Dawood & Talibanese chief met 4kXNXin Swat to put up Talibanese candidates in Loksabha elections. We must improve our survelience and inteligence. Pro Pak people like Antule should not b part of the new govt and good Muslims should b encouraged to dissociate themselves from terrorists.

All right thinking people should think further on how to remove these problems

Mr. L.K. Advani knows very well what will be the election result. As per reliable sources Mr. Advani sacked 3 astrologer until now for their bad prediction about his election and PM position. That means Advani already got the message so he won't be going in coma that is a good news. Long live Mr. Advani - we need you to sit in opposition. Thanks

M. Advani
by Water on May 14, 2009 01:58 PM  | Hide replies

Dear all BJP & Advani's supporters, I regret to inform you that Mr. L.K. Advani will not become PM, nd NDA or BJP cannot rule India. I know Mr. Advani's concern - what he is thinking is if he don't get a chance then he will never get this is what Mr. Advani is thinking right now. I respect his feelings and my sympathy with him. We all know last week he raise a point through his office working with Congress, and next day he deny, like the same way if he can raise the point again and request Congress President to assist Dr. Singh as a Deputy PM. This is my good advise to Mr. Advani.

dont make conclusions and guess, any thing could happen in the post poll scenario. BJP has a advantage of getting more allies as they are not princple oppositon parties in states like AP,Orissa, Bengal(TMC),TN.

But as per the prediction by NDTV
In AP congress is retaining around 20 seats, TN DMK INC 18 , Kerala INC 15,Orissa INC 8 etc.

Things may turn in any direction

You say Advani for him being elderly.
I am supporting Advani as the PM for:
-He is currently the only guy with over 45 years of experience in Politics.
-He is a superb administrator and statesman.

The country is in shambles after the mis rule of the Congress, Advani is the only one who can fix it.

I dont believe that even Modi can fix the country in this situation.

BJP must get 2 straight terms to set the record straight.

This happening 2009 to 2019 are BJP years.

What would be next move by UPA if they cling on to power
by Balaraman on May 14, 2009 01:29 PM

UPA has changed the emblem of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan from Lotus and shining Sun to Cross and Crescent. And this has been done in the name of “broader reflection of national ethos.” Board of Governors of KVS in its 79th meeting held on 26.6.2008 approved the new logo and a circular was sent to all offices and schools of the Sangathan on July 17, 2008, to change the emblem in all the publications and communications. Though the chairman of KVS, HRD Minister Arjun Singh did not attend the meeting, the minutes of the meeting stated that the emblem has been approved by the chairman. His deputy Shri Md Ali Ashraf Fatmi, Minister of State, HRD & Deputy Chairman, was also not present at the meeting. circular issued by the Asst. Commissioner (Acad I), KVS, said “in order to give a broader reflection of national ethos and ought (sic) to be inclusive of challenges, opportunities, rationalistic, scientific and global thinking, advances in science & technology & social changes taking place in the society” (sic) the new emblem has been created. The picture shows a book with blank pages, and apparently two human forms emerging from globe. The crescent (an Islamic symbol) and two crosses and stars (Christian) are obvious. UPA govt released coins of Rs 2 denomination with cross on them. There is move to change our national motto ‘Satyameva Jayate’
