There is no such thing as india
by patriot on May 15, 2009 09:15 AM  | Hide replies

he said it correct. This is why my government in colombo is spending lots of money to make sure certain people win this elections in india. We even have a budget just for indian elections. I think whoever we gave money for campaigning will win.

This is good for Lanka and China.

do you think india's election doesn't matter to us? Do you think we wouldn't want to influence it? Even if our money is little, we get money from an outside country to help us to do this. Why do you think we get free weapons from india?

If the leader is bullshitting, the public takes action by not voting. wisdom may have acted accordingly. The result will show very soon.

Dr.Ashok Mitra &CPI-M- The great Dilemma!
by Sebastian on May 15, 2009 06:05 AM

Dr.Ashok Mitra is right in his assessment that advice shall come from bottom and not from top. That is exatly what OBAMA stands for in America.Things should start bottom up.What is required is that the advice coming from bottom shall be sensible and acceptable and the man at the top shall be willing to accept the advice and act.
The whole thing..Feudal System,Communist Ideology,Dictatorship..etc,etc needs re-valuation and action to suit today's world.IT IS COMPLICATED!

Wanted : Courageous Indians
by INDRANEEL CHANDRA on May 15, 2009 05:20 AM

What is the use of education or been nice when you do not have the courage to help your country ? Today's politicians are just too greedy, irresponsible and shameless. With time, they are shedding their fear of God and law of the land. Unfortunately, the civil service, law enforcement and media have all fallen prey to the lure of easy money and power.
Alas, there's no one to defend our democracy and freedom except us the common man.

Only ideology that has survived, is surviving & will survive.
by jack back on May 15, 2009 02:58 AM  | Hide replies

Only ideology based on realistic openminded & harmoneous thinking has survived, is surviving & will survive. Russia & China had to abandon their hardcore communism while US has started playing with socialism. Only fool in the world is post independence India who herrited a rich progressive tolerant & harmoneous culture is actually abandoning it while looking for fony ideas of left & right with baseless spirituality of middleast.

Only Congress ideology will survive. Our ideology is that of love, harmony and opportunity for all communities. Under leadership of MMSji, care of Soniaji, and best wishes of Rahulji and Priyankaji, India will move ahead in every sphere. Watchout how Congress decimates all opposition. Soniaji is avtaar of Durga and Bengalis will vote for her.

Left Ideologies
by Indian on May 15, 2009 02:29 AM  | Hide replies

The problem with the left ideology is you are creating a nation of robots. Think why capitalist countries make innovations than socialist countries. It is because the capital market lets ppl loose. If you have the brains you will make money. Instead, in a socail market you know that you will be working in a government factory, they why bother thinking. That is also the reason why Bengal and Kerala will never be a technology HUB.

There is a global meltdown right now, that does not mean that capitalism failed. Few companies got greedy and wrecked the housing Market in the US. It is also the free market correction. It should be back on track in about an year.

All leftist should open eyes and look at live examples. Why are capitalist countries successful whereas socialist countries failed.

It makes sense, if these ideologies were followed 30-40 years back, as there were no live examples at that time. But now we know. I do not understand, why would anyone want to follow something that is a failure, knowingly.

by Indian on May 15, 2009 02:18 AM  | Hide replies

the man has great ideologies. His statement that "where the power rests with the states and not with the Centre, is like the picture of India before the British took power in India." is very true. Why do ppl vote for regional parties in national politics. it makes sense, when you vote a regional part for state elections. No matter how good the regional candidate is...Vote for a national party. Ashok is right when he says "state should not govern foreign policy" and so should the regional parties.

That is the reason why Jayalalitha, Chandrababu Naidu and Mayawati create havoc at the center. These are names that should be synonymous with states not centers.

I am 100% with you...in national elections we should choose national parties and focus more on national issues...then only we can stop Sorens, KCR's, DMK, AIDMK, TDP and other smaller parties controlling India's foreign policies. if they want to participate in national elections, they should come together contest elections on one symbol and one manifesto.

by Sameer Uke on May 15, 2009 09:24 AM
good one ..i too fully agree with this..The centre should be strong for overall development of the nation. We have a lot of disparity amongst states so a strong centre which looks after foreign policy, defence, infrastructure, investments, industrialisation, agriculture, science & technology is the only answer for india to be strong and stable. so now onwards for loksabha vote only for national parties. Regional parties should not be allowed to participate in loksabha elections.

Unrealistic dreamers....
by jack back on May 15, 2009 02:02 AM  | Hide replies

The guy is totally unrealistic. He thinks that if someone jumps from a highriser he will automatically grow wings. And if no wings then it is not a wrong judgement but nature has betrayed us.

These people on left are absolutely unrealistic. If someone else had failed, especially a traditional hindu, they would have probably written books & research papers while Nobel & other international committees might have even considered their work for awards.

Before these left-psychos leave this world they better read some of the hindu books. It will be healthy both for them & the world.

just because he disagrees does not make him an expert. His is entitled to his views and as do you are. No one is forcing his views on you like a socialist government. So it like take it or leave it.
