mamata is the right choice - Baby
by sudip duttagupta on Oct 31, 2009 03:12 PM

Mamata Bannerjee is the right choice for the people of bengal for a change. They want to come out from the dictatorship rule of this Leftists and they want mamata who has alreday shown how to develop Railways as the next CM.She is not a person who wants to do "secret trades" with tatas and neither she is linked with the Maos to kill common people in the name of Maoists.

by Goutam Mandal on Sep 03, 2009 07:57 PM  | Hide replies

TMC IS A LUMPEM PARTY AND HAS NO CONSTRUCTIVE ROLE FOR DEVELOPMENT OF WEST BENGAL. THEY ARE AGAINST ANY DEVELOPMENT IN STATE ONLY THEY WANT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THEIR PARTY SUPPORTERS AND SPECIALLY MAMATA BANERJEE, WHO IS A DANGEROUS FOR PEOPLE AND LIKE A DICTATOR OF NAZSI.CBI SHOULD INVESTIGATE THE FOREIGN BANK ACCOUNT OF MAMATA.

Is it so?
by Amlan Banerjee on May 27, 2009 09:06 PM

"Unless I am grossly mistaken (having been away from Bengal for quite a few years), it is virtually impossible to rout the Left Front in a single stroke."

...Well not too far from being "grossly mistaken" as it seems post election results

"In fact, the host of the show got so carried away by her newfound 'charm' that he almost declared her the next chief minister of Bengal."

...well he was not too wrong..was he?

Not a big change of West Bengal political preference
by Parthasarathi Mridha on May 17, 2009 06:24 PM  | Hide replies

The mechanism TMC used to win are same Communist used for last 30 years. Trinomul has killed CPM with their own weapon.

1. Using muscle and machine power.

2. Cheap sentiment of ‘friend of poor’ attitude

3. Minority vote bank.

And additionally TMC encash the anger of people, victimized & humiliated some time or other of their life by the dada giri of local comrades.

I don’t think it’s a big change of West Bengal political preference. No way it’s a choice for state prosperity and development.

Changes are good if it is for betterment. This change will take WB to worse. All changes donot mean Reform. Please find out how many good people have deserted her.People like Subrata,Sudip,Soumen and so many have gone and come back again for their personalinterest. Now Satabdi,Tapas will join her drama team, for God only knows ,what betterment of WB. She was not interested to allow any of her tem a Cabinet because of being sidelined. So scared ?Only God can save WB.

satabdi and tapash has been voted in and one who calls the mandate of peple as drama can be clearly understood what dirty mind he has.

See what happens ...
by Suddhaseel Sen on May 16, 2009 11:06 PM  | Hide replies

... after Mamata comes to power. If the CPI(M), or any other party, wants to come to power, it must let Mamata come to power first and make a complete mess. I suspect that the better elements of the Trinamool will have to leave their party and join either the Congress or the Left Front AFTER Mamata struggles through one term as chief minister. The people of West Bengal - especially Calcutta, where the Trinamool seems to have won the maximum votes - need to brun their hands before realizing that being a rabble-rouser is not the same thing as being teh chief minister of a state.

Some people, claimed to be enlightened and wise, still have the idea that today's communists, including great Jyoti Basu, are not the bottom line of everything.Nothing can reach below that and if there is any change that has to have an upward journey only.If a sensible person analyse the history of last fifty years it will be very clear that these fellows have only agendum in their policy and that is since everybody can not reach the summit pull back everyone to lick the ground.

As u rightly said Mamata is clearly an opportunist Rabble rouser. And the people of WB are not unaware of this.

But the people have got tired of Left rule. The results are a mandate of the people to vote out Left from power due to the slow progress seen in WB.

One of the biggest challenges for Trinamool is to try and understand what the people are expecting out of them, what their party ideology is, and what is their agenda will be as govt of WB.

Various subgroups of people have voted for Trinamool each for their own reasons, and the govt cant obviously satisfy all of them. It has to prioritize the more important agenda items and keep showing progress.

Wishing the new govt all success.
