zakat
by shaikhhamid on May 12, 2009 01:20 PM  | Hide replies

there is a system in our religion that every person who has 85 grams of gold has to pay 2.5% of amount as zakat every year...

just imagine if each and every good earning person pays this the main issue of poverty and crimes related to poverty will go down drastically...

isnt it ????

HOW MUCH CAME FROM SWISS BANK IS THE BIG QUESTION?.
by sudhakar sk on May 12, 2009 01:20 PM

Publicity greedy BJP raised the issue of money "staked" in Swiss Bank; while it spent crores of rupees in election campaign for its candidates across India.

Honest is the last things BJP can gulp through its throat.

What stops teh country from implementing elections online. Its a simple web page to display and every citizen gets a unique number (Could be the PAN number if they like) so that no citizen can vote more than once. Not only will this increase the voting percentage, it will also reduce the fantastic amounts spent on poll campaigns and actual elections.

Money spent on Loksabha poll campaign
by syed zaheer on May 12, 2009 01:14 PM  | Hide replies

Every candidate spends lakhs of rupees inculding the independent candidates. We debate a lot and vote for these candidates. I am still unable to understand that how can these people spend so much money and with what intention, because after being elected to the parliment, they get a salary of few thousand rupees. The logic is for a few thousand rupees salary job for 5 years, few lakh rupees are spent. It means that every candidate knows that he has to earn back with interest or profit all the money spent thorough some other means. Every person who votes knows the truth but still supports these candidates, some are even die hard fans of sonia, Rahul, Priyanka, MMS, Advani, Modi, Varun etc.

It's simple. It means on every candidate elected expenditure is ab. 92 cr. ---- so each elected one has to earn 18 cr a year---- 1.5 cr a month ---- 5 lacs a day . Forget about the candidates who have lost -- 10 times the elected ones. This much they ve to contribute to the party ( at least). So they ve to earn at least 10 times more to keep their catories intact. If there is so much income in this --- who would like to be docs , engineers , n educationist --- wot 4. S S

60 crore - below poverty line

Even if they spend 10% of that money for the rehabitilation of the poor, the poor will get 3 times food, decent cloth & shelter.
