There is no doubt about the press being irresponsible. They interpret every statement as per there conveniece to cook the stories. I have seen the interview and to me it was clear that there is no meeting ground as per the congress policies.

i have also seen the interview.What he said is congress is not untouchables for discussing national issues.But i have seen today in English paper is that "Kulkarni suggested a coilation of BJP and Congress" .Very shame on you media.

Congress & BJP must come together to form the government and kick the 3rd Front out. With 3rd Front ideology Indian will go backward by 20 years. Third Front is supported by the Chinese Govt.

please reverse the statement, how can BJP accept communal and divisive policies of Congress. Its congress which ha devided india among religion lines first then caste lines by minority apeasement and reservation policy.

There is nothing wrong if BJP or for that matter any party talking for a religion. in fact it is very pleasing to hear sermons on religious channels . the problem is when someone speaks against any community or tries to encash anti-minority sentiments and spreads hatred.Baba Ramdev though he is hindu saint but talks the language of love and harmony. no one dislikes him or abhores him. but listen to varun who targets a community because it is under international pressure and spreads hatred to become 'popular' overnight by seeing the example of advani and modi. Try to understand both have some common intrests to be implemented by both parties rather than having scramble (khichhdi Govt.) of 60 parties which can lead to horse trading and this is the reason it is becoming more lucrative/profitable bussines spacially for independents.We have population control policy which is gathering dust to implement and needs majority Govt. which can only be done by Congress and BJP together to amend the constitution for one/two Child policy for common person and one ONLY FOR POLITICIANS if they want to join politics. When Mr Prabhakaran arranged the murder of Mr Rajiv Gandhi,was he so arrogant as to believe that the LTTE would never need Indian help again? The LTTE is responsible for the sufferings of the Sri Lanka Tamils and should surrender immediately.

That is only LTTE propaganda. The Indian Army was in Sri Lanka to separate the warring parties. Instead, it was betrayed by Prabhakaran who sent suicide bombers to attack the Indian army. In any case, the LTTE has relied on terrorism and mayhem. Unfortunately, the Tamil people are paying the price for Prabhakaran's arrogance.

People here are referring to the ordinary Lankan Tamils trapped in the fighting, or those desparate ones who have fled the war zone to seek sanctuary in India. Have we seen any move by the Central government to give some succour to these people? Or their beloved ally Karunanidhi? Instead you have the Congis trying to play both the sides, courting Jaya, just in case she happens to be the major winner in the elections.

No matter how worthy the cause of the LTTE, they have ruined it by their practice of terrorism, assassination and mayhem. All over the world, they are branded as a terrorist organisation. And they are now using the civilians as a human shield. How low can you get?
And who are the IPKF majors? They are not authentic reporters.
In the national interet to oppostion parties should consider joining throuh a well designed minimumcommon programme and system of maintaining the allaincs for five years. Both parties are already together on major national issues like terrorism, nuclear energy, poverty elimination. agricultural growth, employment etc. National interest is better than being in opposition. The electorate may be taken on one day referundum voting for such an alliamce.

It is national interest to have strong govt and not weak coalition of small parties. Common min programme can be evolved to bring strong govt of BJP/Congress. We need national govt for national interest which is going astray
