dear varun our population is the natural boon for us. the concept of sterilization was imposed on us by some unknown elements . think what we can do with this population. when nations are short of men to develop themselves we have more. let us implement the national infrastructure fast and at the earliest. if you think for a while you can come to a conclusion that we will lead the world in all fields. all that we need is education to all 100% once people get the knowledge the population gets automatically trimmed. no need to force them on sterlisation. thay will volunteer by themselves. we still have politicians and bureaucrats inherited by the British legacy (suppress and rule) and thay are constrained to come out due there ignorance or to develop themselves personally. please try to identify such persons and keep off. think independently. best of luck thanks

Family planning and sterilisation is a govt of India project(not imposed by unknown elements).Good for the country that it is being highlighted during the elections. The male sterilisation is not risky as that of female sterisation, and the acceptors of sterilisation get some money and one extra increment for those who are in govt jobs.

Are you writing in sleeping? If India do not have military, Kashmir and other parts of India would become part of Pakistan and China
The beauty of modern day politicians is that they make speeches without adequate thought and when they see a furore uprising against their remarks, they conveniently claim they have been misquoted. Long time back, Laxman carried out a nice cartoon wherein a PA asks the politician whether he needs to issue the denial to the press either before or after e has made the speech !! The whole thing is so disgusting....
India already has a 'Family Planning' ministry that is supposed to curb rising population. It fosters birth control, contracpetives and even sterlisation. There are even many TV Ads on sterlisation with poor people shown leading a normal life after the operation. These are officla govt campaigns. Now if Varun endorses the same campaign, he becomes anti muslim?? The greatest curse that Mulsims have brought on themselves is over reproduction, in a bid to match the Hindus, a race that no one wins.

I hope you are smart enough to see the difference. The ads on TV are the persuasive type whereas Varun Gandhi talks about forced sterilization. There is a world of difference. Taxing couples with more than 2 kids would be a good via media.

The DM of Bareily has denied Varun his election rally because of this sterilisation speech.Does the DM wants this govt programme to fail?Does the media wants this programme to fail?Election time is the only time when people comes to know about few govt programmes, and the expenditure is that of the contestant.
The news about forceful sterilization is just rubbish. Here is the content what he said.
that while the methods used by the government at that time were "roughshod" and considered by many to be "too forceful", he still believed India's population "explosion" required urgent action. He supports a softer approach of financial incentives to persuade Indians to have fewer children.
A visit to the following link would give the facts.
