Kashmir Issue: Where people have all rights as any common indian citizen and even more rights (muslim law and no one except kashmire can buy land in kashmir). But, with pakistan backing, some people are asking for homeland because they have muslim majority.
Srilankan Tamil Issue: Srilankan tamils don't have equal rights as any sinhalese. They protested to get equal rights in gandhiyan way initially and after amry started killing and raping tamils, they took weapon to defend themselves. They need either equal rights to live in srilanka or a seperate homeland.
Apart from Vijaykanth, who no doubt needs to be praised for his courage and consistency in politics, who others are there in his party. Whats the background of such candidats. Whats is DMDK offering in its manifesto. Is it Pro-poor, pro-youth, pro-Minority, or Pro-Agri? No body has any clues.

Even Vijaykanth himself has no clear goals, agenda, policy. So he will end-up no where. He came to politics as his career in films has ended abruptly. He is opposing DMK & ADMK, but he has nothing of his own. He has not spelt out his stand on so many important issues like corruption, administration, infrastructure, industrial development, srilanka problem, etc. In this LS election he just told vote for us & he is talking about local problems. I doubt whether Vijaykant knows the difference between Parliament & assembly elections. He has the support of "immature" youngsters only. Becoming CM will be his dream forever. It was told that he got money from DMK to split anti-DMK votes.

I totally agree with sridhar on his views about Vijayakanth"s politics. The actor if voted to power with a majority to form the govt. under his leadership, he won't and can't do anything new for the welfare of the people because he cannot control most of his followers to toe his line to establish a corrupt-free govt. which is the core issue of every political party nowadays
Tamil Nadu considered as one of the most advanced state, still it is falling promises made by these failed cine stars, who are using politics as their vocation.IN Tamil Nadu people want everything free, in this world nothing can be free for ever.People are being fooled by these politicians promising free this and free that, which is more rampant especially in Tamil Nadu. Some the comments made in the messages not in the interest of this country, it only shows how people are getting carried away by films stars hollow promises, who understand neither politics nor economics. God Save Tamil Nadu.

not only in Tamil Nadu, all other states also, Those who give lot of sops and freebies will gain more votes... Those who have vision to create better tomorrow wont get, Those who can do stop gap stuff and show some immediate things to people will get... because people dont have time to look for tomorrows problem they need to fight for todays bread and butter.... Hope things will change... Pray God not only to save TN but India also!

Agreed every state has cine actors turned politicians. But the extent of freebies in TN is unprecedented. Free Tvs, Free Gas stoves, Free 1 Re Rice, Free 2 acre land... the list goes on.
God saving Tamil Nadu is more difficult than God saving india.
Hogenakkal - no problem. Inflation - No problem. Mullai periyar - no problem. Power cuts - no problem but sri lankan tamils - yes yes problem.

Problem of freebies will land them in more problem. Unfulfilled promises will bounce back to haunt them like DMK now. Karunanidhi promised 2 acres for each farmer. Majority who did not get TV, rice, land (he did not give to anyone), etc will vote against DMK.

There are more actors who are successful outside TN. Infact North India has more Govinda (defeated Naik)Rajesh Khanna(Advani)Bachhan(HKBahuguna)Vinod Khanna, Shotgun Sinha, JayaPradha,Dharmendar, etc etc. Compared to that MGR and Jayalalitha whose film career was way shorter than politics, are the only two successful actor-turned politicians in TN. The rest have fallen by the way-side. MGR and Jaya became fullfledged politicians. Apart from that whether you like it or not stood by what they believed in- MGR for his socialist ideology and Jaya for rule with an iron hand and strong stance on religion, terrorism, womens rights etc. At least you knew what you were voting for or against. Vijayakanth is like those north indian actors who promise the moon only to disappear when the going gets tough.

UPA which paid 100 crores for an MP at no confidence motion can do more than that. There is no need for DMDK to contest this election as it is not in any alliance. I doubt whether any candidate will get deposit. DMDK has been funded by DMK to split anti-DMK votes. Why GK Mooppanor aligned with AIADMK? only for money. Crores have to be spent for contesting elections.
In TN vijaykant's party has a long way to go. He does have a mass appeal. But one has to wait long to see, whether these masses will turn to be his vote bank. Further, It is high time that Vijaykanth should prove himself as a revolutionary leader. There can be only one MGR in TN. Vijayakanth should stop replicating MGR and instead prove himself a revolutionist.
