the Congress and its thought process
by Raghavendra Bhat on May 09, 2009 02:04 PM

The Congress Party is speaking as if it is the custodian of the secular voice of India. They should understand that the Hindus hold the Muslims in great tolerance. The annual pilgrimage season to the Hindu hill-top shrine of Shabarimala starts with a "guru dakshina" to the Vavar gurukkal (musaliyar) of the Vavar muslim mosque. History has it that the Muslim commandant of the Panthalam Raja was from the Vavar mosque 'mahal' and he was entrusted with protecting the temple, its lands and subjects! Even to this day all Ayyapans circambulate the mosque on their onward trek to Shabarimala. How come we have a "bent" Congress thought process? Why is it that the BJP and one of its allies Nithishji is singled out for attack bu the Cong (I)? Some party spoke-persons and some weird political anglers.

What is communalism, you are talking about?
Are not worshipping hindu god like Ram/Maheshwar.With out them we are nonexistent,
So a mullah with beard is in your alliance and party is secular,
But a hindu with sanyasin dress is Communal,
What sort of hypocrite are you congress guys,
Peole like you has brought this indian community to dust in the past 2000 years,
Atleast allow us now onwards to live with prestige and self respect,
Like Kaurunanidhi creating caste trouble in TN to get his power,
You guys are spliting indians in the name of religion,
When will the god deliver you guys the justice by defeating you all and removing congress from ploitics.
For you guys what ever let happen to public,
You want money power and to deposit in SWISS what is the use of that,
You guys are giving trouble to indians and not bothered about atmils in Elam,
Only commission/Bribe swiss bank your policy and motto,
God is there he will do justice to unprotected.
So all vote for BJP &in TN AIADMK AND ITS alliance

Yesterday
by R Prasad on May 09, 2009 05:35 AM

Yesterday"s Congress: "Nitish Kumar is great. He is doing a good job. It will be good if he joins UPA"

Nitish: "Thanks, but no thanks."

Today"s Congress: "Nitish Kumar is useless. He was full failure during Bihar floods. He cannot rule in a good manner along with BJP. He is shameless"

Anybody who votes for opportunistic, unreliable and arrogant Congress is plain stupid and idiot.

Fun indeed
by theindialover on May 09, 2009 03:53 AM

This is very funny indeed. Their own prince in waiting said he liked Nitish kumar only one sentence. Media said, he is trying to reach out Nitish. ButRahul just said it by mistake.

Nitish after two days said, L.K.Advani is the PM candidate for BJP not Modi. Then media said Nitish is going away from BJP when Modi is projected. He dislikes it and might go with Congress etc etc...

These are all media creations. They manipulate the people...

Now congress have to defend themselves on the wrong foot.

Shockwaves
by gomateswara on May 09, 2009 12:09 AM

The acquittal of Jagdish Tytler, the prime accused in the anti-Sikh riots of 1984, by the CBI should send shock waves across the country.

The CBI’s proclaimed autonomy is a sham. It sought to close the case in 2007 but had to continue the probe. That a Sikh prime minister can silence his conscience and campaign for the party in Delhi is a sad commentary on the moral fibre of our politicians. The Congress party’s dreams of having a committed judiciary is on the verge of realisation.

Any good scheme from BJP is bad for media
by shamsher singh on May 08, 2009 11:05 PM

Yeddyurappa’s budget had encouraging news for several sections of the population — farmers, high school students, officials, researchers, patients, alike.

The decision to send 1000 farmers abroad on a study tour will expose them to different types of farming methods. Further a provision of Rs 750 crores as a support price for farm produce is good news.
Yeddi has given a fillip to ornamental fishery and has given an impetus to the establishment of goshalas for the protection of milch cattle. Extending free power to farmers with upto 10 HP pumpsets, introducing e-tendering to bring in transparency, allotting Rs 2 crore for reviving the river Arkavathy and establishing 500 foot bridges in the Malnad to bring connectivity to remote villages, are all heartening to note.

CM also deserves to be congratulated for providing free health insurance to poor families. Another noteworthy point, is the support given to the development of sandalwood cultivation, green villages and medicinal plants

BJPs Magical Novel schme for needy what did congee do in 60yr
by aandal on May 08, 2009 10:37 PM

Ladli Laxmi Yojana scheme was started by the BJP govt in MP in 2006. In a very short time, it has proved to be one of the most successful social welfare schemes in the history of the state.

Under the scheme, the state govt buys saving certificates of Rs 6,000 each year for five consecutive years for every girl born in a family.

The girl gets Rs 2,000 after she completes her Class 5, another Rs 4,000 after she completes Class 8, Rs 7,500 after she completes the Class 10, Rs 200 per month in her 11th standard and a lumpsum amount of Rs 1,18,000 after she enters the 12th standard or, alternatively, attains the age of 18.

The principal aim of the scheme is to eliminate school dropout among girl students and to encourage them to study at least upto pre-college level.
Kanyadhan Yojna: state gives Rs 7,500 for poor families during the time of a girl's marriage, and
Janani Suraksha Yojna: state provides all economic & health support to a pregnant woman till the time of delivery.
This is what I (as an Indian) call development of girl child; unfortunately no media will project this, but will project BJP as T@liban if some Sene beats a girl who goes to a pub only coz it happened in a state ruled by BJP. This bias is going to be the undoing of the Congress
