Very sad

This is a sad and depressing story to read. These brave men give the best part of themselves to the country and this is how they are treated.

We are partly responsible for this miserable condition
by Ramesh Krishnamoorthy on May 12, 2009 08:01 PM  | Hide replies

Where there is chaos, there is no organized work. The same goes with population. We are a whopping crowd of 130 crore with a small piece of land called India, that too with constant problems through neighbours. Our politicians fool us by showing pseudo-secular nation where the so-called minority is enjoying all the benefits and the native dwellers of the land are seen as criminals. This country should have one law, applicable to every tom dick and harry, else they are free to get out of this country. Is there a real Man who can make this happen? I see only Modi who can do this.

Our Defense min.Mr. Antony should cmmit Hara Kiri!!!!
by Raj rai on May 10, 2009 06:45 PM  | Hide replies

After reading the above note about an ex army personal I really feel dejected and miserable that this is what my country gives to the brave soldiers who sacrifice the best years of their lives in securing our country borders and our lives. Our defense establishment has also adopted the same path as by other ministeries in disgracing the soldiers.
I am not a soldier but do feel empathy for the ones who are serving day and night at borders and when they retire our govt cannot feed them properly to grow old gracefully.
Mr. Antobny's bank balance has tripeled in the last 5 years , well served by defense deal underhand deals and other loots but what about a poor soldier who does not have access to these bribes or cuts enjoyed by senior forces officers and leadership.
We salute the soldiers and request for the NGO's to come forward and help these needy soldiers and retired policemen to live a graceful retired life.

Appeal to rediff.
by Mak C on May 10, 2009 02:43 PM

Sir, It is very apt and responsible on your part to expose the misery our lopsided system subjects ordinary citizens(read poor) to. However as one of the constituents of the media, Rediff could do more than just expose. I am sure you have the resources to help this deserving person and those under similar circumstances. Over here it won't be long before the topic gets hijacked by irresponsible people into a Congress/BJP or a Muslim/Hindu, Indian/Pakistani, North/South slanging match and the issue will suffer.

An active lady member of Netaji's army of Jeypore-Dist:Koraput-(Orissa)was repeatedly interviewed and listened for 30 years and more. Her representation was experimented by PMO - (must be dealt by Indian Congress President, Soniaji as per distribution by Dr M.M.Singh)- and pension could be released to her only after death, this year. Jai Ho!

rahul gandhi sathiya gaya
by virat v on May 08, 2009 12:14 AM  | Hide replies

rahul has gone mad.
in day dreaming to make next govt under woman-mohan singh, he is now inviting everybody- except bjp to the upa forum.

1) he wants to lefts of bengal at the same time having coalition with mamata, the enemy of left.
2) wants aidmk in tn alongwith dmk under the upa belt. both the enemies in tn.
3) wants nitesh in bihar alongwith paswan, lallu, their arch rivals.

this shows that cong has lost all their confidence in their winning the elections. n cong is running after all the parties except bjp.
instead of running after them for coalition, its better to get coalition with bjp.
