Do you think he knows about Holocost in Germany, communalism in China and so on??!?!
am astonished and amused at the childish press conference of Rahul Gandhi.
He should understand that 'one does not become a leader just by wearing kurta and pyjama'.
You need to know the pulse of the people, have personal interaction with all sections of society and above all have a dedicated cadre and NOT CHAMCHAS around.
After his 'first and may be last' press conference he has rubbed two allies DMK and TMC in the wrong side.
He is a JOKER in pyjama and kurta and people very well know that he is in a drama that is on from 2 months. Even if he had done 10% of these rallies and road shows during the last 5 years we could justify that he is a seriously different congressman.
Rahul jee 'YOUR HAND' IS GOING TO DITCH AND DROWN ALL YOUR UPA ALLIES? EVEN BEFORE 16th MAY.
As the Poll is going to last stage the congress has apprehension to win as many seat for 2009 Lok Shabha Election and out of fear their leaders are talking about the alliances with other group who are not interested to join them secondly their ally like RJD LJP TC are getting offended. This time the Lok Shabha proposition will be like 20-20 cricket match.
Mr. Rahul Gandhi is acquiring the characteristics of a politician, but not the stature of a statesman. His utterings, probably out of the fear that the UPA is dead as Dodo, are like those of an opportunistic politician. May be he does not want UPA to come to power which may install MM Singh as PM. A government of rag-tag assembly of political parties will better suit his aspirations as this government will not last. And for the following election, he may be nominated as the PM-in-waiting.

One of the best comments I have seen in a long long time. He is trying to be a politician but does not have it in him to be a statesman. Just one correction to your hypothesis about Rahul not wanting to come to power. I think he knows that MMS is not coming to power anyways and is trying to build up himself as first a leader of opposition and then catapult himself (typial of dynastic politics aka Rajiv Gandhi) to the PM aspirant for the next round of elections, whenever it happens.
This politicians will rape this country, Rahul Gandhi is gone crazy what's wrong with him, next speech he will tell Modi is my mentor...and BJP will support us to form the Govt...he is cheating and confusing every Indian, He will not be a able leader just watch out...can people like Narayan Murty take the lead and become president and take india forward, President Rule is the only choice its going to HUNG...elections this year

There is no provision for President's rule at centre, in the Constitution of India.

Mr.Ansari - I am more and more intrigued by the depth of your comments. Hope to see more of you in these forums to enlighten some of the young (and sometimes very unaware) commentors.

but when no party gets majority in a election, President has a power to disolve and have President's rule

No! there can't be any President rule in center. If no party comes forward (capable of ) to form a a government, there will be re-election. this is the constitution. Our is the parliamentarian system on President system.

If no political group is able to prove majority and no one claims to form the government, i think there can be president's rule.
The prodigal son of Congress Mr.Rajiv Gandhi will spoil the expectation of Manmohan Singh for another term as he spoiled Tamilnadu by sseeking help from AIADMK, and left parties in West Bengal..
