No ethics in politics
by SATISH SRINIVAS on May 06, 2009 09:56 PM

The recent statements of some of our politicians seems to be that there r no ethics in politics at all. Because they r allying with one party campaining with same paties and wooing the other parties for post poll adustments. This is simply to enjoy power by hook or crook. The ultimate goal of the parties is capturing power. This is biggest threat to demecrocy. There should be some cap on the no. of parties contesting elections at national level. Only two parties should be allowed and others should ally with any one of these two parties. Regional parties should be allowed only at state levels. They should not be allowed to contest at national level just to avoid this kind of politics. Until unless this is done such kind of activities will be going on and no alliance can survive, which leads to choas.

SUNDARAM RAMAMURTHY
Immaturity
by SUNDARAM RAMAMURTHY on May 06, 2009 09:54 PM

So, at last he thinks about occupying the power for the next five years. This reminds the basic first question to every Political Science student: What is the difference between a Politician and a Statesman? The former thinks of the chair for next five years whereas the Statesman thinks of next 20 years and future generation.
Rahul Gandhi is still immatured - otherwise he would not have made most damaging statements at the eleventh hour.

New Delhi Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday had a surprise suggestion of empowering villagers to fight terrorism.
"I am confident that this country can take on terrorism. Defeating it is no problem. If we empower those people in villages, we can sit back, relax and we will destroy terrorism in 15 minutes," Gandhi told a press conference here.

joke of the millenium this is. congress fell short by 15 minutes to remove terrorism during its 60 years tenure.
where is Mr Obama? he must join Rahul's classes... lolz

Good point bro. BJP should distance itself from useless fundamentalist organizations like bajrang Dal and the one in Mangalore who went after the girls in a pub. BJP should support progressive hinduism.
