Nazarwal Day Dreaming
by LALIT ANAND on May 06, 2009 10:58 AM

Mr Nazarwala, you seem to be talking through your hat and have reached a limit of day dreaming. You would do better avoiding such stupid and senseless imaginations and by coming down to mother earth. Nothing of what you are forseeing is going to happen. Just wait for the D day ie May, 16th and everything would be in front of you. Good Bye and best of luck to your imaginations.

Who will sit on the gaddi of the PM?
by Milind Ghaisas on May 06, 2009 10:55 AM

Who will sit on the gaddi of the PM? Who will wield power? Who will call the shots? That is all we hear everyday in the newspapers.

INDIA is already behind Congo, Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria as far as India's Human Development Index is concerned. (Those who want to compare India's index with other countries may do so at the United Nation's website).

Every politician wants to rule India without responsibility. Who wants to be the servant of India? Serving the nation has lost its relevance. There is no one to stand against the power hungry politicians. Everything is over for India.

Mayawati and the chair of PM.

Bihari wrote-'Kahlane ek basat Ahi,Mayur,Mrig Bagh.Jagat tapowan so kiyo deeragh dagh niddagh..'Once the poet saw the snake, the peacock, the deer and the lion sitting togather under shadow of a tree on the bank of a river. The poet was surprised much to find the arch enemies sitting togather.Soon the poet found the answer of his surprise. It was the peak of heat in the forest which was bitting to all animals equally and every animal was in attempt to save his life from the unbearable heat of the season. The common fear of loosing life by the heat stroke has driven away the personal enemity between the arch -enemy animals and they joined togather to guard themselves from the common enemy of the time 'The Heat'.Bihari's couplet most suited here too in the heat of politics played by Mulayam,Mayawati, Lalu and Paswan.

Excellent and unbiased contribution to this politically charged debate by you Ravindra.

MAYA's 'MAYAJAAL' probably would not be pierced by 'trio' of 'Fourth Front' as there own survival is in doubt. Number game this time would 'number' many.

One is to honour peoples verdict and mandate, do not insult voters, PM must be from the largest party only, whosoever forms. In democracy, we must not permit extornist type thinking. Leaders must be servants to people not masters.

No sense whatsoever.
by ABC on May 06, 2009 10:18 AM  | Hide replies

Looks like Mr. Nazarwala hasn't been observing the Indian Political Scenario very long.

Mulayam will never join the BJP since more than half his support base comprises of Muslims. Already, Kalyan Singh is causing him problems.

If Lalu is to join NDA, Nitish would leave...does not at all suit the NDA.

Best case, Paswan will break away from the 4th front and convince Mayawati to support the BJP govt (in the name of Dalit upliftment, extract a large number of ministerial berths for their party members).

BJP will never support mayawati as PM as the BJP has a strong leader itself it is projecting as PM. Advani will either sit in the PM chair or in the opposition. The Congress however does not have a politically strong PM candidate, and hence would support Mayawati as PM until the Rajkumar can be groomed to be the PM candidate.

well said ABC ,

I dont think fourth front as a whole would support BJP and this is not becuase of idiological reasons but a more practical political compulsions . Lalu will not be where Nitish is , Maya will not be where mulayam is . Lalu and mualyam wont go to BJP . so the option for fourth front is pretty simple its either congress or Thrid front . Now Third front can really fly if they actually manage to get around 150 seats .fourth front getting another 40 seats would make it around 190 seats . Assuming that cong allies is less than 200 , then they can put a lot of pressure on congress to support from outside .

The strategy of congress is also becoming clear whjat with shiela and digvijay proclaiming congress willingness to sit in opposition and Rahul giving overtures to various parties . The idea here is either join us or we will sit in opposition . ( basically carrot and stick ) .
NDA on the other hand is just waiting and watching ... it is hoping that AIADMK , TDP and BJD may come back to its fold post elections .. not unlikely scenario .

So overall a huge confusion in the making with all three formations having a chance .. but it would all ultimately boil down to actual seats . But as of today , i tend to think congress is just marginally ahead , BJP in second place and tf is coming third .
