India need P M like a Sardar Vylababhai Patel, who should lead towards developments & prosperity. P M should be elected directly by People of India. Just imagine our leaders who want to become Prime Minister of India like Gowda, Jaya, Maya, Lalu, Pawar, Mulyam. paswan. God only have to save India other wise these persons will Shave India.

Forget about it. All the leaders presently are ambitious and no Sardar Patel. Neither Modi nor Advani. Modi is frog in his state. He will never success as Prime Minister reason every one knows. It is not because of castisms but arrogance nature of Modi will never succeed as Prime Minister. Today he is saying something tomorrow he will take U turn. this is his nature which we observe during election compain.

Mayawati is an opputunistic person with no morale. In past she has used Brahmins and Muslims as a tool to get power in U.P now she is eying on centre.Once she comes to power she will show her true colours and country will be badly affected by her nasty policies.

Mayawai should support Congress
by Joseph Purathur on May 06, 2009 11:06 AM  | Hide replies

Mayawati may decide to support Congress to keep the Mulayam-Lalu-Paswar trio OUT, possibility of which the Congress may consider. If so, it will be a fitting reply to the trio for the treatment they meted out to Congress at the time of seat sharing talks. It is time to finish off Lalu & Company. Having enjoyed power with Congress, he should not have treated Congress the way he did. Fodder Scam and other scam-ghosts will now start haunting him - rightfully so.

This congress should support Maya as Congress is going to win only 110 seats.

Madam Maya
by Deviprasad on May 06, 2009 11:05 AM

What's Mayawati's achievement as UP chiefminister for UP's DEVELOPMENT? Nothing significant. Her achievement are her statutes built by herself in Lucknow and her huge birth day celebration from public money. She should know that if she would do good work for common man, they will built statues for her.Madamji kuch development kam karo for common man. JAI HIND.

Indian politics

In first gen elections of 1952,there was practically no opposition except the communists in certain pockets.Congress swept the polls then.Advent of Jan Sangh by Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, saw the first real opposition to make the congress press the panic button.Without casting any aspertions,Mukherjee was eliminated crudly.Deen Daya Upadhyaya was also done to death the same way.Post 1977 there were two parties Congress and BJP (resurrected Jan Sangh).BJP's growth since then (barring 1984 elections) has been phenomenal.Had only the cogress not taken things for granted and done some good work BJP's rise could have been blocked. However, appeasement policy and granting of ration cards and nationality to migrants from Pak and BDesh, eroded the people's faith both in the congress and leftists. These were used conveniently by BJP to downgrade congress and the result is seen today.Today you have more regional parties, except for the Hindi speaking belt.In course of time, disgruntled MLAs/MPs of these regional parties will form their own parties in their respective constituencies and you will have thousands of small constituency based parties all over the country.TN started off well with DMK,but today you have atleast a dozen K parties in TN,which are likely to get further fragmented. The situation is becoming alarming and unless some constitutional amendments are done to rectify the mushroom growth of parties, we are in for serious problems in the near future.
