Come on..Cant hindus think intelligetly to root out fractionalism
by mohit gupta on May 06, 2009 03:23 PM  | Hide replies

we all know that still after years of reservation politics, assault on the religion by invaders and m1ss1onaries, the Upper caste Priests are not waking up, no major reforms is happening.. Are these Acharaya, Shankracharyas declaring that we must drop surnames which indicate our caste, promote inter-caste marriages, etc, etc.

And maybe the ascendency of D@lits to the highest post of Legistature in india can prove to be a galvanising force for H)ndu religion..

At the same time i sincerely also wish that after becoming P.M. mayawati comes to her senses and stop her obsession with spending public money on building the Statues and Parks in name of D@lit pride

It is time that 40-50% of hindus (D@lits/who feel trampled by Caste system) feel proud of being part of hinduism.. Time that they control the power and project a united stand against the merceneries and j#had1s

Won't the Dalits defend India and the religion like the Jats, Rajputs, Sikhs etc, did when they felt respected, in-power and part of the mainstream society?

What's Mayawati's achievement as UP chiefminister for UP's DEVELOPMENT? Nothing significant. Her achievement are her statutes built by herself in Lucknow and her huge birth day celebration from public money. She should know that if she would do good work for common man, they will built statues for her.Madamji kuch development kam karo for common man. JAI HIND.

Sarva Siksha Abiyan (SSA): For providing education to all
Initiated Study panel to link all Indian rivers: For agriculture / economy development
Pokran Nuclear test: To proclaim world that is India is technically capable and changed India’s role in world as dictating country instead just listening country
Good management of economy: Part of India’s loan repaid
Look east foreign Policy: Instead of running behind western countries, concentrate on Eastern countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia etc and get the items cheaply
Initiated Muslim / Hindu leaders dialog: To solve Ayodya issue amicably as the court is delaying its verdict & as 2/3 majority not available to pass a motion like Shawbanu case.
Implementing Laws Like POTA: Which will make the Indian origin people fear to help / support foreign origin Terrorist activities to control terrorism
Abdul kalam as President & George Fernandez as Defense Minister: Shown people that BJP is Secular / Patriotic Muslims & Christians will always get their deserving positions
Effective control of TRAI: Which made the cell phone network revolution in India
Effective control of Railways: Which become base for current development in railways.
And much more. pseudo secularist of this country are only concerned about minorities and whoever talks in their favour is supposed to be secular and one who talks about hinduism is communal. All secularist should

Interesting how different hats can be worn for different situations. Kissa kursi ka is the application. Sad though but such horse trading only occurs in countries like ours or where the majorities do not exist. We need to curb this situation much like in the government earlier all the non elected people were ruling the country by calling the shots.
One look at the interview of MMS with FT in the recent G8 submit clearly explains where he is and where the others are. Unfortunately he would not be able to pull these people up and with time may just get pulled down in the vortex of corruption and malice.

Whether it is the Congress or any one else but let sane people rule the country and let us not be ruined due to ones just concerned about their personal ends. How come every MP's assets have gone up by upto 1000% - where is our tax department now. The poor service class gets the beating every time.

Let us make our country great of which we can be proud not be counted amongst the worst and corrupt nations.

WHAT IS WRONG IF SHE BECOMES THE PM OF INDIA. AFTER ALL SHE IS REPRESENTING THE OPRESSED AND WEAKER SECTIONS OF INDIA WHO ACTUALLY FORM THE MOJORITY IN INDIA. SHE HAS RISEN FROM DUST TO THIS LEVEL AND IS DEFINETLY A VERY STRONG CONTENDOR FOR THE POST; I CAN NOT THINK OF ANY OTHER LEADER BESIDES MODI AS PM CANDIDATE. THE GREAT PARDADA OF INDIA LD ADWANI IS TOOO OLD TO BE PM RATHER HE SHOULD BECOME BHISHAM PITAMAH AND FORGET TO BE PM . ONLY THESE TWO LEADERS MAYAWATI AND MODI HAVE MADE A GREAT IMPACT IN INDIAN POLITICAL SCENARIO , REST ALL ARE CHAMCHAS AND BAILCHAS OF ONE OR THE OTHER PARTY WITHOUT THEIR OWN POTENTIAL.

Hello its not about majority or minority. It's not about religion. It's not about region. It's about this nation got it. If you think that Mayawati is the eligible candidate to represent INDIA to the world so she be PM. If you think that she is one of the most brightest amongst the present breed of Politician so she be PM else not, and in my opinion it will be a nightmare for this nation if she become PM. She is CM of UP for last 5 years she could have proved her worth like Narendra Modi did to open space in the center for herself. But she is what she is a corrupt and narrow minded politician who do not think of whole.

CORRECT YOUR FACTS, SHE IS NOT CM FOR LAST 5 YEARS. SHE IS CERTAINLY A BETTER ADMINISTRATOR THAN MANY CMs. A GUTSY EDUCATED LADY WITH A MIND OF HER OWN IS QUITE LIKED BY THE MASSES BUT PAGE 3 AND ENGLISH SPEAKING PEOPLE DONT LIKE HER. SHE WOULD PROVE TO BE A BETTER PM.

Ace n Tricks,

Ask Mayawati to be an Indian first and an oppressed community later.
Erecting her own statues all over UP certainly shows that she has good adminstrative skills! Right?
A MEGALOMANIAC and A CORRUPT, POWER/WEALTH HUNGRY, CROOKED POLITICIAN
- that's all what Mayawati is and will continue to be.

I think you have the point right but it is a case like Sanjay Gandhi doing the right things the wrong way : same applies to her also. U need to go and spend one week in Lucknow with her and see how she operates ; but she needs to correct her methods in what she is doing which is right like you have correctly pointed out.

Any good scheme from BJP is bad for media
by akilandeswari on May 06, 2009 02:28 PM

Yeddyurappa’s budget had encouraging news for several sections of the population — farmers, high school students, officials, researchers, patients, alike.

The decision to send 1000 farmers abroad on a study tour will expose them to different types of farming methods. Further a provision of Rs 750 crores as a support price for farm produce is good news.
Yeddi has given a fillip to ornamental fishery and has given an impetus to the establishment of goshalas for the protection of milch cattle. Extending free power to farmers with upto 10 HP pumpsets, introducing e-tendering to bring in transparency, allotting Rs 2 crore for reviving the river Arkavathy and establishing 500 foot bridges in the Malnad to bring connectivity to remote villages, are all heartening to note.

CM also deserves to be congratulated for providing free health insurance to poor families. Another noteworthy point, is the support given to the development of sandalwood cultivation, green villages and medicinal plants

BJPs Novel scheme – What did congress do in 60 years
by gomateswara on May 06, 2009 02:27 PM  | Hide replies

Ladli Laxmi Yojana scheme was started by the BJP govt in MP in 2006. In a very short time, it has proved to be one of the most successful social welfare schemes in the history of the state. Under the scheme, the state govt buys saving certificates of Rs 6,000 each year for five consecutive years for every girl born in a family.

The girl gets Rs 2,000 after she completes her Class 5, another Rs 4,000 after she completes Class 8, Rs 7,500 after she completes the Class 10, Rs 200 per month in her 11th standard and a lumpsum amount of Rs 1,18,000 after she enters the 12th standard or, alternatively, attains the age of 18.

The principal aim of the scheme is to eliminate school dropout among girl students and to encourage them to study at least upto pre-college level.
The Kanyadhan Yojna: state gives Rs 7,500 for poor families @ time of a girl's marriage,
The Janani Suraksha Yojna: economic & health support to a pregnant woman till the time of delivery
This is what I (as an Indian) call development of girl child; unfortunately no media will project this, but will project BJP as T@liban if some Sene beats a girl who goes to a pub only coz it happened in a state ruled by BJP.

Thank you for this information - am really indebted to you for sharing this information. I think every Charitable Trust in the country should be asked to do something like this - its novel and unique and workable : its just a question of how many are willing to do it. The government can enforce this but I have copied your message and intend to add it to my family Trust and commence operation at the earliest. Thank you and you must make more noise about this scheme : I am definitely going to and see how many people can actually contribute to this.

With best wishes
