Vote for Congress OR for your Caste.
by New York on May 04, 2009 06:49 AM  | Hide replies

BJP lacks competencies and conviction to govern a culturally and socio-economically DIVERSE and distinct society like India.

* Advani and Modi injected VENOM in certain sections of Indian society.
* Voting for them is equal to voting for dis-integration of India.
Or,
* Vote for candidate from your CASTE **TILL** 85% of all registered marriages in India are INTER-CASTE.
* He will UNDERSTAND your culture and IMPROVE your socio-economic status.

Why media can't predict anything ??
by Amit Yadav on May 03, 2009 10:25 PM

Media think this election is issue less. Media owned by different business group come up with different issue for a particular state. Its not that this election is issue less, its only media don't want to bring real issue in public domain. Its a failure of media to gauge mood of India.

Role of media is a kind of Mirror to society.
Media has failed to live up to its reputation and now become a kind of personal home theater of political parties where they can play their own DVD.
Media will tell you that India is shining. We are more secure because we have Nuclear weapon. Every person in India ate two meal yesterday. They will tell you, how Indian (Sunita William) has reached in space, when their is not an iota of indianness in Sunita (She is a daughter of Hungry NRI who long ago left India for Greener pasture). Sunita williams did not get even 0.01 percentage of publicity in US compare to what she got in Indian media. Sunita is an American who happened to look like us.

Sunita apart,I don't know why they shame lessly keep on producing these drawing room election analysis and their TRPs never fall.

Cure :

India need a Media critic like Jon Stewart. India need a guy who will make media accountable for what they said in past. They conveniently push everything under carpet after election.

Diminished clout for Mulyam and Laloo
by ramakrishnan balasubramanian on May 03, 2009 04:20 PM

With persons like Amar Singh and Sanjay Dutt as General Secretaries of Samajwadi Party, the possible dinished clout for Mulyam is no wonder. There are so many able leaders in Mulyam's party and I don't understand how Mulyam has bankrupt in his thinking and understanding what is good and bad for him. I have always maintained in my various columns, specially in the Rediff ones, that leaders like Mulyam, Laloo, Paswan, Nitish, Sharad should no more be called as Socialist leaders. They are at best community or caste leaders. It will be an insult for leaders like Lohia, JP, Madhu Limaye, Madhu Dandavate, George Saheb etc. if we continue to call Mulyam and others mentioned above as Socialist. By joining hands with Amar Singh and Sanjay Dutt, Mulyam has stooped so low that even his hard core and loyal supports will try to desert him. As regards Laloo the less said it is better. Let us expect the current Lok Sabha results to be waterloo for these casteist leaders.
