Last election, Ram Naik was a politico heavy-weight that needed to be shown that the public is really in control of Mumbai and not just another politico. This time too, I would have voted against Ram Naik just to seal that fact into his head. But since Congress put in a candidate that's worse that Naik, I'm going to re-think about voting for Naik or maybe, vote for an indepedent this time ...
That extremely repulsive ugly shapeless fatso who gyrates to a sickening Anu Malik tune with a woman who is half his age in a third class David Dhavan flick??
Seriously, when are we Indians goinng to stop worshipping mediocrity and start appreciating real talent?? According to me, this repulsive dork should not even be making news!!

politics is always been about the lesser of two evils. Hence, the "fatso" gets a chair..

Boss....whatever u say...Govinda took ALL the credit for the doubling of tracks from borivili to Virar...but the fact is that all the groundwork for that project was done by Ram Naik. It just so happened that when the work started happening at an increased pace, it Govinda who had become a MP by then.
Govinda's downfall in politics, or shall we say in the eyes of Soniaji, has been due to him being ex-Hero no.1 and not moving on to become completely corrupt netaji no.1.Had Govinda changed his antics for Soniaji like he did for David Dhawan he would definitely be in cong's/soniaji's good books, alas he more like his old friend sunjay dutt...

As if the other Poliicians are doing a great job with serious images. Come on, politics in India is dirty - so don't talk like it is going to be anything different if Govinda doesn't get the ticket.

Frankly, Govinda was worse that Ram naik. he was just plain old lazy. Why doesn't the Congress field an activist instead. It's all about control, I guess.

Currently corruption in politics are being performed by un qualified and un educated politicians. Imagine the coppuption when govt is run highly educated people like IAS officers. The corruption would be so clean that no one would ever know and our country would simple be ripped apart. Fodder scam kind of things if done by IAS officers would always go un-noticed.

So you are saying IAS officers are not corrupt? Have you seen their lifestyle? They are one of the most corrupt group.

If you go by qualification then you have to disqualify 90% of candidates. I would say people from Admin(Honest officers with IAS Cadre) background should be given chance. We have one person Jayprakash Narayan who formed a party called Lok Satta. It will be great If India gets leaders like Jayprakash.

well buddy i dont know much about Jayprakash Narayan, but trust me, most IAS officers (90%) are so corrupt that these politicians are nothing in front of them. In fact these run the corruption shop for for all netas as end of the day you still want thing to look nice on paper.

I fully agree with every one but we must start some where. I know such a large percentage of politicians and especially Administrative people it is not a joke.

I also heard that some party in Gujarat is giving ticket to Amisha Patel ( what a joke) to contest elections. And how do you expect a goonda like Sanjay Dutt to contribute to Nation ans Society( Lucky that SC has barred him to fight elections)
