There are n number of People contesting,Winning,Presiding ConstitutionalPosts, after commiting More henious crime than Dutt and even try to defend their Guilt shamelessely. Many MPs are contesting from Prison even ater getting punishment, then why should only Sanjay,IF Navjot singh Siddu can shine in parliament after murder then, why this uproar against one person who confessed for his crime,so he should get a chance to prove himself as parliamenterian. Why Few people try to raise conspiracy in his eletoral for this General Election.

He has been declared guilty by court .He was a part of mumbai blasts. Why so much sympathy for a criminal .Only because he is an actor. He can fool public by his acting skills.

Crime and Politics, suggestion
by Gokul Sharma on Mar 30, 2009 05:07 PM  | Hide replies

It has been increasingly seen in Indian Parliamentary Democracy, that people connected with criminal activities are picked up more for contesting elections. This trend will certainly put India one day into a state of anarchy or type of civil war, when endurance limit of the innocent people will gradually end. So, it is a very high time that our country's Judiciary System takes care of this evil development and try to clean up the prevailing democratic election system and root out the corrupt practices, inorder to make the country stronger every day, we go ahead.

Well Gokul, you have made a good point..But you see, the judiciary is making a mockery of itself..Actually, all good lawyers take it for a ride day-in and day-out.

To top it all, laws and amendments to ensure that criminals never contest any elections are never passed in Parliament (for obvious reasons). Every party is responsible for this. Our country is stuck in a vicious circle. Thugs ruling us and wanting a CHANGE...We are moving towards Law of the jungle in real sense now..Only way out is to field educated and learned people as independent candidates..Common man should vote these candidates and then once these learned people win, laws be amended! I am sure the sun will rise again this way!
