Please think about our ingrown jehadis represented by congress and commies. Do we want to run like tibetians and kashmiri pandits all over the place with our homes and land taken away? Remind you its not a one day process but its going on. See the signs even outside Kashmir--Varun is gagged but minority fundamentalists are free to deliver fatwas at their will. In Assam pakistani flags are hoisted on india's republic day. Reservations for minorities in Army and police by 'secular' manmohan we have to nip these forces in the bud. Its a struggle for our survival and human rights and all we have to do is vote.

Dear Rediff,
You should really hold a debate on your portal on front page and keep it for more than 3-4 days to know proper public voice and opinion as to what they feel regarding Congress work in last 5 years, specially should congress be responsible for job losses, poverty, unemployment, stock market stumbles, rise in property prices etc

I hope...

I request and hope that all secular parties unite and work together to crush the radical fundamental forces in the country trying to destabilise / divide the peace loving India.

A lot of onus lies on parties like RJD, SP, BSP, TDP, NCP, Communists, Trinamool, NC, and even parties like BJD and INLD, PMK, AIADMK to ally with each other in the larger interest of the Country.

Also it is the responsibility of the voters to see that they are voting for the parties who do not tie up with communal parties post elections, for sharing the pleasure of Power and thus strenghtening the communcal forces.

See what happened in 2002. The NDA had so many so called secular parties, but they still continued with the NDA even after so much bloodshed by the radical parties and their leaders. Hope all secular (true) Indians will consider this in the forthcoming elections.

As has been established, the communal parties were notr only communal, but they were mean, corrupt, and indisciplined, and later openly fought between themselves and split (one good thing to happen).

Should BJP come to Power ?
by ratan barwal on Mar 30, 2009 04:52 PM

The Congress led UPA has so much screwed the economy in last five years that whichever Party comes to power after impending election,it will not be in a position to undo the ill effects for at least next 4-5 years. So it would be better if UPA or that ragtag third front comes to power and face the music for their ill doings and revive the economy screwed by them by projecting an artificial bubble. They have earlier enjoyed the fruits of the work done by BJP government in Vajpayee era which came to fruition after they were voted out by mindless people.

BJP or Congress, but no 3rdfront please
by Atanu Chatterjee on Mar 30, 2009 04:12 PM  | Hide replies

People of India showing increasing maturity to understand that one should refrain from voting on the basis of caste/religion. BJP leadership also understands that the knee-jerk reaction of hindutva days in 80s/90s are gone when people used to vote BJP for religion. Now common, politically un-aligned people realize the way forward is development, industralization, employment, security and offcourse good, honest governance & administration. I'v heard Advani saying these which is a very good sign. Modi gets repeated mandate not for the Gujarat riot but for his ability to administer and get business which develops the state. But unfortunately BJP has some rogue elements like Ram Sena, Vajrang Dal which if not checked immediately would one-day become like what LeT and JeM are today in Pakistan.

Why blame congress
by Patwari on Mar 30, 2009 03:58 PM  | Hide replies

I cannot understand that on this forum why people are blaming the government for economic crisis.
If people dont do well, then we have to fire them.
I myself asked 3 people to leave last month but that was because since long time i was wanting to do this due to their indiscipline and back bitting against the Company.
Plus one of them was useless and could not get good prices for our merchandise, so how is the congress to blame for someone's inefficiency ?

congress may somehow come to power again
by maks on Mar 30, 2009 03:48 PM

Friends, we like it or not but if NDA does not get full majority then congress will somehow come to power. It doesn't matter if UPA is breaking up. UPA was never a alliance like NDA. UPA is a loosely held coalition of opportunistic parties coming together for hunger of power. so if NDA doesn't get full majority the UPA can be formed again after elections for the sake of the most abused word in the Indian politics -- "Secularism"

NDA allies have 10 years or more long associations. And UPA allies are cutting the size of Congress. What a shame for Congress?
