Nobody wants the Congress
by Akshay on Mar 30, 2009 03:23 PM  | Hide replies

Congress came to rule by mistake.
Earlier, BJP was going strong and it was a surprise that Congress won.
However, this time Congress is sure to loose.
It has done little for the Aam Aadmi apart from preparing a nice, attractive and stupid election AD.
By screving up the economy and drying up jobs, its dooms day for congress
People are ready to work and work hard and there is no hope at all till stock market revives

Dil is not there
by Ananda Raj on Mar 30, 2009 03:00 PM

Pointing an accusing finger at the Indian Government for silence on the unfolding tragedy in Sri Lanka, Arundhati Roy, writer and activisit, in an article appearing in Times of India says, "while the killing continues, while tens of thousands of people are being barricaded into concentration camps, while more than 200,000 face starvation, and a genocide waits to happen, there is dead silence from this great country [India]. It’s a colossal humanitarian tragedy. The world must step in. Now. Before it’s too late."
She has accused media also. Why?
Rediff is not exception. Even in the discussion board, they do not allow constructive discussions.
Neither opposition parties nor media carry out any thing for nation and humanity.
Dil Se is not from heart, but from pockets.
Readers want great services from rediff, not silly or little.

Dear Mr Rana,

What are you referring to when you seek an apology for "christian cross on currency" by Sonia Gandhi?

Bio-Bofors : Why we need a New Government
by Chris on Mar 30, 2009 02:01 PM

A huge Bofors has been committed in the area of bio-fuels.

If the our Government had genuinely supported the development of bio-fuels in India (bio-ethanol and bio-diesel), then India could have become partially self-reliant in the area of energy-fuels (like Brazil), and could have saved Billions of Dollars in our annual oil-import-bills.

However, the Government has been deliberately suppressing the bio-fuels program in India, while providing lip-service to bio-fuels, in order to appear Green-friendly.

The truth is that there are huge kickbacks to be made in every barrel of oil that is imported from the Arab countries.

Therefore, our Government is NOT interested in reducing our oil-import-bills, and would rather stall the development of bio-fuels in India, as biofuels would reduce our dependence on imported Arab oil.

This is yet another instance in which our Government would like to keep India enslaved to the Arabs.

The reality is that Indian politics will not survive without congress. The results of the ensuing election will be no majority for any party or alliances. It is going to be hung Parliament. Another general election will be inevitable.
