Why not any actions to prove the truth!
by Haridas Menon on Mar 26, 2009 04:07 PM  | Hide replies

Why talking about past things and wasting time? in the past nobody was aware that Madani had this much connection with terrorism and congress supported him partially like other parties did. but later when it has become clear that he had such bad connection with terrorism, the congress withdraw, but still the CPIM in need of communal votes against Muslim Leauge, put hands across Madani's shoulders. see the news coming day by day, today also a news came that sufia had regular contacts with those who burned Tamilnadu bus in Kalamasseri. see the realities, dont shut eyes. If Madani is asking for an investigation confidently, why the CPIM led govt. refuses to conduct an investigation? Our Home Minister said this is an old issue and there will be no investigation. why is things like that? why dont try our police to find the realities in this issue?

Hard Hitting Article
by Deepak kumar on Mar 26, 2009 04:07 PM

Jesus Christ!!!!
Never seen such hard hitting anti establishment article on the website...Just a bit confused though!!! Saw writer attacking Cong and BJP both but didnt seem to make slightest of remark against Commies who have played the same dirty game since the beginning....
If religion is going to play such a critical role in upcoming election, we have bigger problem to face. Two of our most educated states are being torn into religion lines [ Gujarat and Now Kerala if writer is to believed].
What does it imply?? Does it mean education means nothing?? Whole Idea of making people more educated to elect better political class is nothing but myth???
Is so, then our less educated states like Bihar, Jharkhand, UP are better off!!!!
I wish I am wrong else there is nothing which can stop our country from disintegrating!!!

Article without logic
by KS S on Mar 26, 2009 04:07 PM  | Hide replies

This article sounds more like an advertisement for the LDF.

Congress having dialog with Kashmiris is not a justification to tie up with Madani. Kashmiris need to be engaged in dialog, because there is an underlying problem there. Whereas Madani, at least until the recent past, existed solely for terrorism. Just like the SIMI. Does anyone engage SIMI or the LeT with a dialog?

The author can take pride that with Madani's support, CPIM can ensure another 2-2.5% votes. But it may also remember that a large number of Hindus and Christians who are fence-sitters, will be forced to vote against the LDF this time, just because of this one reason. And their percentage will hugely exceed what Madani can compensate.

Bad move, period.

btw, the CPIM (and this author) give the impression that terrorism is Madani's distant past. But as recently as last week, there were revelations by intelligence agencies that Madani's family is actively involved with terrorists who masterminded Bangalore bomb blasts, and those kerala jehadis who died in Kashmir recently. The CPIM is very likely to end up denounce Madani, even before elections. And does not not bother them that some of these terrorists were involved in the conspiracy to murder the then chief minister EK Nayanar of their own party? Does not not bother them that, in the past, their supreme leader EMS expelled some senior leaders, just because they prosoed a deal with Muslim parties.

You are right!! As u said this article looks more like an advertisement for CPM. Further, the article tries to justify the unholy alliance between CPM and Madani.
Sadly the loosers in this unholy alliance is people of state who has no alternative other than to go for UDF which is also another bird of the same feather.

while the author calls bjp as the crow waiting for a caracas, the LDF and Communists are not automatically slotted in the eagle category.. they are as bad as the crows they are fighting..and infighting..

Kerala politics
by raman govindan on Mar 26, 2009 04:06 PM

EMS namboodripad brought true secularism to this part of the country. his cabinet members were not selected on the basis of caste, community, religion etc. but on their contribution to the spread of socialist philosophy and decisions were secular, rational and sceintific. but Nehru and his daughter joined hands with catholic church, islamic fundamentalist, and caste hindu organisation NSS and it's leader mannathu padmanabhan and created an agitaion like the one of JP narayan before emergency. But his worst contibution was when he put his theory that minority communalism is to be tolerated in record. jan sangh former avtar of BJP had just a few seats in the parliament and was not a force. communalism was at it's lowest ebb at that time after independence. Nehru rekindled it. We suffer the consequences. his mistake is comparable to the one of jimmy carter/reagon support to islamic fundamentalist of afghanistan to drive marxist influence. US is paying the price for the folly of Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagon.

what is surprising is that reagon and nehru are considerd as great leaders of the century in their country. is it that one has to make a great mistake to be called a great leader.

Mr Karat...cut the crap you dish out on English TV channels assuming that the rest of the world is oblivious of what your party is doing in Kerala. All along I believed that the communist party had the best people among them all. All you had was attitude, you are losing that too!

WHETHER IT IS LEFT DEMOCTATIC PARTY OR UNITED DEMOCRATIC PARTY, EVERYONE WANTS TO MAKE MONEY AND POWER THROUGH POLITICS. THE LEADERS WILL COME NOW TO ASK FOR VOTES. AFTER GETTING ELECTED, IF ANY VOTER GOES FOR A MEETING, HE WILL ASK HIS SECURITY PERSONAL, TO GET HIM OUT OF HIS PREMISES. THAT IS WHAT IS HAPPENING IN OUR COUNTRY: BABU KURUP/ NOIDA
THROUGH POLITICS. NOTHING ELSE.
