Selective amnesia - bias of anti-Hindu electronic English media
by komaatha on Mar 24, 2009 10:06 PM  | Hide replies

Ladli Laxmi Yojana scheme was started by the BJP government in MP in 2006. In a very short time, it has proved to be one of the most successful social welfare schemes in the history of the state.

Under the scheme, the state government buys saving certificates of Rs 6,000 each year for five consecutive years for every girl born in a family.

The girl gets Rs 2,000 after she completes her Class 5, another Rs 4,000 after she completes Class 8, Rs 7,500 after she completes the Class 10, Rs 200 per month in her 11th standard and a lumpsum amount of Rs 1,18,000 after she enters the 12th standard or, alternatively, attains the age of 18.

The principal aim of the scheme is to eliminate school dropout among girl students and to encourage them to study at least upto pre-college level.

This is what I (as an Indian) call development of girl child; unfortunately no media will project this, but will project BJP as T@liban if some Sene beats a girl who goes to a pub only coz it happened in a state ruled by BJP. This bias is going to be the undoing of the Congress

Any good scheme from BJP is bad for media Yeddyurappa’s budget had encouraging news for several sections of the population — farmers, high school students, officials, researchers, patients, alike.

The decision to send 1000 farmers abroad on a study tour will expose them to different types of farming methods. Further a provision of Rs 750 crores as a support price for farm produce is good news.
Yeddyurappa has given a fillip to ornamental fishery and has given an impetus to the establishment of goshalas for the protection of milch cattle. Extending free power to farmers with upto 10 HP pumpsets, introducing e-tendering to bring in transparency, allotting Rs 2 crore for reviving the river Arkavathy and establishing 500 foot bridges in the Malnad to bring connectivity to remote villages, are all heartening to note.

The Chief Minister also deserves to be congratulated for providing free health insurance to poor families. Another noteworthy point, is the support given to the development of sandalwood cultivation, green villages and medicinal plants

Look who is pontificating?

Abusing a community or punishing a community as a whole is bad whether Varun does it or anyone else does it.

Under Congress rule when Indira Gandhi was PM many Muslims were forcefully sterilised.

When Rajiv Gandhi was PM around 3000 Sikhs were murdered in Delhi alone and he actually justified it saying that when a big tree falls the ground shakes.

When Rajiv Gandhi was PM we saw for the first time the high office of the Prime Minister being clouded by corruption charges in the Bofors case.

So does Madam Priyanka and her party have any moral right to talk about Communalism or Corruption?

Priyanka: A divorcee or unmarried ?
by Nemo on Mar 24, 2009 10:04 PM  | Hide replies

Priyanka, another half-itallian trying to teach Geeta. You should know, after getting married the surname priyanka should priyanka vadora. Media didn't tell us that she has been kiked out from vadora-family or Gandhi surname adopted by vadora family ? Media should stop telling her priyanka gandhi.

Why do u guys get so personal and make such rabid attacks? Is this the glorious culture that we talk about? Is this what we learn from our wonderful scriptures?

Can't u just attack the opinions and views rather than getting into below the belt tactics? Or is it too difficult to counter the views and it's easy to score dirty points by getting personal?

Just imagine some one making similar loose comments about ur own kith and kin.

Varun should read Geeta ... he will know the value of Geeta before he swears by the holy book in vain.
