5 years of UPA have been one of worst years in last two decades. There has been no progress in any of the fields. The government had to "buy" MPs to stay in power. And now they have appointed a stooge as the Election Commisioner. Hopefully, people will show Congress the door, in a big way.

If UPA appointed a stooge Election Commissioner then NDA appointed an Ex. Police Constable of Neechwa (Distt. Sikar-Rajasthan)as Vice President of India. There is big difference - at least the Election Commissioner is very well educated Ex. Senior Officer and not a Constable.

cm dhingra, who has told you that a Constable cannot become the VP? Mrs. Indira Gandhi had studied upto VIII std or so. What is the qualification of Ms. Sonia Gandhi??
Do you know what is the qualification of present CM of Kerala? He had studied upto V th std or so only!!! So formal education is not every thing but common sense matters more (after all common sense not so common a thing)!!

Why do you worry so much abt others qualifications? Who asked for the defense of Varun? Be practical and let your mind be constructive. Look around for Mutaliks and his hungry force. Keep your near and dear ones from going out in comfortable attire as it may be agst the culture of the Mutaliks and this may compel him to do something which his Culture promotes. Yes, true. But her "moderate"ness is nothing but total inaction, lethargy and insensitivity to public outcry. Any tom dick and harry can come talk anything against Congress, Govt.,minorities,and her UPA is simply sitting pretty, enjoying the power and other associated benefits. Her moderate govt. has allowed Pakistan to absolutely insult and humiliate India in 26/11, and her Ministers can`t even talk tough, leave alone do anything. Varun Gandhi yaps his head off like a rabid dog, and she is quiet. There is not one incident shaking up this whole country, and Sonia just wont do or say anything at all. Because of this reason, Congress just cannot hope to win the elections. If retaining power by begging Lalu, Paswan, Mulayam and other small fry parties, is all she wants, then this country would be right in rejecting her and the Congess. Every one including Lalu, Paswan, Mulayam, Sharad Pawar and every other "ally" will certainly turn a disloyal traitor in a most inconvenientmoment. But who will tell this to Sonia? She has completely belied her foreign birth which should have shown some strength of character and action. Alas !!

- Congress (in 1985) opened Babri gates for worship: resulted in renewed communal passion and tensions. Now they have the guts to blame BJP for the mess!
- Congress oversaw, and still encourages, illegal immigration from Bangladesh to fill up bordering states with potentially Congress voters: Thousands of Indians are losing livelihoods to India-hating Bong muslims, even more getting killed by Bangla-linked terrorists. Jeopardizing national security.
-- Congress politicized Rashtrapati Bhavan: Things began well after independence, with Dr Rajendra Prasad. But soon Congress began politicking, and we ended up with fools like Neelam Reddy and Zail Singh as presidents! The BJP tried fixing it by inducting Dr Kalam, but Congress came and brought in this ex-Cong female Patil.
- Congress politicized Election commission: The last pillar, also gone. It began with Rajiv Gandhi's discomfort with CEC TN Seshan (a tough, no nonsense guy). Congress changed EC's structure to have 3 commissioners instead of 1. Then it appointed a Congress sympathizer as CEC days before General Polls.

Not a few stones thrown on a procession or a petty quarrel or a temple bell interrupting the tranquility of the namaj, but the systematically carried out Godhra Carnage where three bogies of the Ahmedabad bound Sabarmati Express were set on fire by a Muslim mob, on 27th February, 2002, killing over 50 people, mostly women and children, mostly karsevaks, returning from Ayodhya.
Mr Modi tried his best to stop the riots.
India Today weekly in its issue dated 20 May 2002 clearly admits that, far from being anti-Muslim, the Gujarat police did not act speedily against Muslim fanatics and rioters, for fear of being called anti-Muslim by the biased and partisan media.
The reaction to the Godhra train carnage was overwhelming, and the state had limited resources. But to blame the Chief Minister or his administration for that would be as unjustified as to blame the Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh for the recent obvious sloppiness and intelligence failure that one saw during the recent Mumbai terrorist attack of Nov 2008. Yet, Mr Modi has been attacked so vigorously that even many Hindus feel that it is the truth and are probably shameful about Mr. Narendra Modi.
Contrast this with the Congress sposnsored anti Sikh riot in 1984.

If the Congress sponsored Sikh riots in 1984 then it also sponsored and carried out the after brutal murder of the only truly brave, manly Prime Minister, Indiara Gandhi. That is stupid. the Gujarat pogrom sponsored by Modi is known to the whole world including the Supreme Court and the United States, who won`t allow the dirty inside their country. The Muslims are Indians, and all the brainless extremists of BJP, RSS, VHP etc. cannot ever change that. Let them always thank the Mughal/Muslims who ruled this country for nearly a thousand years, when they could have changed every Rajnath, Advani, Katiyar,Togadia, Dara Singh,Vajpayee,MM Joshi, Uma Bharati and all "garva se kaho" wale, into a Sehikh, or a Khan or a Pathan. IPL is inhuman sharks who want money even if half the stadium packed with people gets blown by some Mujahideen suicide bomber. Even after the 26/11, it is madness to push for IPL to please the billionnaire film stars, and liquor barons. Cricket lovers must think of true human values, and not go totally mad over that game. And, what makes them reject TV coverage?
