Any good scheme from BJP is bad for media
by S S on Mar 21, 2009 12:19 AM  | Hide replies

Yeddyurappa’s budget had encouraging news for several sections of the population — farmers, high school students, officials, researchers, patients, alike.

The decision to send 1000 farmers abroad on a study tour will expose them to different types of farming methods. Further a provision of Rs 750 crores as a support price for farm produce is good news.
Yeddyurappa has given a fillip to ornamental fishery and has given an impetus to the establishment of goshalas for the protection of milch cattle. Extending free power to farmers with upto 10 HP pumpsets, introducing e-tendering to bring in transparency, allotting Rs 2 crore for reviving the river Arkavathy and establishing 500 foot bridges in the Malnad to bring connectivity to remote villages, are all heartening to note.

The Chief Minister also deserves to be congratulated for providing free health insurance to poor families. Another noteworthy point, is the support given to the development of sandalwood cultivation, green villages and medicinal plants.

yeah whatever.. all kannadigas in karnataka are loser. your politican and businessman including narayanmurthy and kiran m. (biotech chief) are all selfish. they don't have any pride for state. politican after making money and power and businessman want free land, electricity, road, tax benefit, when it comes to giving back to society, they run away.

Ladli Laxmi Yojana scheme was started by the BJP government in MP in 2006. In a very short time, it has proved to be one of the most successful social welfare schemes in the history of the state.

Under the scheme, the state government buys saving certificates of Rs 6,000 each year for five consecutive years for every girl born in a family.

The girl gets Rs 2,000 after she completes her Class 5, another Rs 4,000 after she completes Class 8, Rs 7,500 after she completes the Class 10, Rs 200 per month in her 11th standard and a lumpsum amount of Rs 1,18,000 after she enters the 12th standard or, alternatively, attains the age of 18.

The principal aim of the scheme is to eliminate school dropout among girl students and to encourage them to study at least upto pre-college level.

This is what I (as an Indian) call development of girl child; unfortunately no media will project this, but will project BJP as T@liban if some Sene beats a girl who goes to a pub only coz it happened in a state ruled by BJP. This bias is going to be the undoing of the Congress

Well intentioned and hard working politicians are not respected in our land..

For people like u that is the only issue. But for us the people of karnataka there r some other larger issues that needs to be addressed like development and security, if you have not visited Karnataka just come here and see, women r freely doing their work, without any restrictions.

NARAYAN MURTHY QUOTE
by rajeshraii on Mar 20, 2009 07:23 PM

Our intellectual arrogance has also not helped our society. I have traveled extensively, and in my experience, have not come across another society where people are as contemptuous of better societies as we are, with as little progress as we have achieved. Remember that arrogance breeds hypocrisy. No other society gloats so much about the past as we do, with as little current accomplishment.

Congress?????
by rohit Rj on Mar 20, 2009 06:56 PM  | Hide replies

Congress is humiliated by its allies, even the allies do not have faith that congress has done anything to which people can vote.

Wat r congress achievements in these 5 years, making shivraj patil as home minister for 4.5 years, just for vote bank, politicizing issues like malegaon blasts, antuley's remarks, not able to provide adequate security to the Indian public, making India a soft state, they r a complete pathetic package, for wat values do we vote for congress.

They do not have any capable leaders, what their base is Indian biased media, especially the channels like NDTV, who is always running 24x7 anti-BJP campaign.

Look at Gujrat it is growing by 12% in such a recession period, why that is not shown on channels like NDTV. Indian public want to see our country developed and with strong internal security.

This congress govt. is a total faliure in both the departments, that is why after ruling center for 5 years, still they r not confident of reaching three figures mark. Indian public this is the high time for the change we have to vote for BJP so that they win with complete majority, enough of this congress. Bring BJP to power and see the difference.
