From the remarks it appears that he didnot speak against any other community. But he spoke in favour of hindus. But the sickular brigade is going overdrive to show that he spoke it against muslim community to keep muslims aawy from BJP.
Moral- Do not say anything in favour of hindus. You will be branded communal.
varun is trying to quickly become "modi junior" by his these kind of talks; but it seems his party is not really interested at this moment (minoriry vote important in UP unlike gujarat and also electtion time)
Indian muslims think they are being ill-treated by BJP,Senas. I would like to say onething to them. Are Muslims treated well in the contries like Pakistan,Bnagladesh or Afghanistan. After all BJP or Congress or UPA or NDA or third front never said that muslim women should not study. But what is the case in Pakistan recently. All women schools in Pakistan detroyed. So India is a far better country for muslims. Indian Muslims must realize this. Take Abdul Kaalam for example. He has been our President and what a president. But see the issue in Pakistan. Musharaf went then arrived Zardari and what a mess. Dubai is the only exceptions country. All human beings have brains to think. And I think living in India is better for Indian muslims and India, my country has treated muslims fabulousy than in any other muslim country.

We will live in India irrespective of the treatment given to us. As this is our country as it is of other communities. But we dont need the examples of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afganistan. If you wanna give examples, you name Kuwait, Saudi, Bahrain, UAE, Qatar, Malysia, Brunei etc.
Again, we dont need examples. We should be treated equally on par with other citizens of India. We dont need any special status or discrimination.
Communalists cry if poor Muslims are given some benefits by the government, but on the other side backward Hindus are getting much more benefits and reservationss from the governments.

Why do Hindus or Muslims need reservations for education? In developed countries there is no reservation. I study a lot to gain my knowledge. I am not from a rich family. But I use most of the times to read books to gain my knowledge. Indian muslims are treated better than Kumawai or Saudi or Malaysia fro example. I repeat only Dubai exceeds well. Because in all Muslims countries other than Dubai women are not treated well like India,UK,USA oe any european country

I agree. I am proud to be an Indian. For me my country comes first because you first need to love your mother land and then comes other things.

I am a Muslim, but I am proud to be an Indian. I would have never wished for any other better country to be born in. Also, I wanted to let you know not each and every Muslim staying in this country is the way you have mentioned above. I have more Hindu friends than Muslims and I have never thought myself to be an alien in this land. It is just because of a handful of people the entire religion is getting a bad name and every one tends to feel that all muslims are like this. I bet that my Hindu brothers whoever is having a Muslim friend will know this truth.

The Election Commission on Tuesday afternoon directed the District Magistrate to lodge a criminal case against Varun Gandhi for his inflammatory speech against the Muslims in Pilibhit.
The cases have been filed under Section 153 A (Promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc., and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony), 123 (a) and 123 (b) and are non-bailable. An explanation has also been sought from the District Magistrate
