Look at the parties that formed third front: JD(S): Deve Gowda, he and his son pulled down the Congress govt and BJP govt in Karnataka. CPI/CPI : Same commies who pulled support for UPA All these third front parties are just want power and "IF" they get mejority to form the govt, I will bet that the govt will not last more than 6 months. I think all the regional parties should be banned. Only Natioanl Parties should be allowed to contest in the poll.

Congress Goverment pulled down Charan singh goverment(1979),DevaGowda Government(1997),IK Gujral Goverment(1997),BJP pulled Down VP Sing Goverment(1990).So what is wrong in pulling down goverments.

You may call this as BIRD FRONT.Because all seasonal birds are accumulated for the post poll negotiation with the Congress in name of SECULARISM.
This is good that people have more options though most of the leaders in the third front have lost credibilty. There is no direction thus result if come in power may be disasterous. Leaders have to become more crdible since today we are lecting one out of a lot of worst.
If Third Front is expecting any votes from us, they are just living in fo ol's paradise. The author has rightly said that all they deserve is a blank cheque. Although Maya has declared to go all alone, her party is also no better than the others. Let us shun all power mongers and show them the doors.
Instead of multiple contest, if contest remains within limited parties-a very good sign for democratic norms.But Times is not so ripe that parties accept it in that spirit, similarly political reforms are also far from thinking.

If this embedded BJP supporter says that the Indians should be content with either the bootlickers of U.S or those who preach and practise Hindu Thalibanism, the country is going to say a big no. Courtiers of both the above parties are really worried of the gain the third front may make. Hence this article.

I reckon Shenoy is missing a major issue. The Left recently came out with an election "manifesto" (not THE Manifesto :)) wherein it declares that it will work to de-nuclearize South Asia! In other words, China is the only Asian power entitled to nuclear status. It is egregious that this has escaped the attention of the national press (but for the "Express" which has been a reliable watchdog against the toxic fumes that the Left injects into the national polity). The Left wants to roll back India's nuclear program. Could there be a more treacherous or more appalling betrayal of the national interest than this in the present time?

Yes silence and apathy has put nation in hand of few who rig votes.Pak march was better show for reinstalment of sacked chief Justice.We have not seen any public out rage on National issues after 1973 under JP.This is bad for our generations and good for Politicians.Even Swiss govt readiness to declare illegal assets has not got any media attention.

Absolutely! I wish we have a benevolent dictator to weed out all the weeds! The manipulatimg scums are a blot for the whole nation. Country should come first, irrespective of anything else and no matter what!
