Most media make up news about Meira Kumar becoming speaker as thought it is a cosmic event. It is said that the trumpetting of her being a Dalit is louder, than her actual qualification and capabiities. Perpetuating such class identification is a great disease and all in the politics are liberally using it to gain mileage. Tant amounts to saying, Dalid will remain a dalit and it is some crumbs like these that are thrown to keep them so. It will surely be a challenge to keep the unruly parlimentarians on leash. I wish her good luck. If it is too hot, she must vacate the chair.
“Hegde was the first non-Congress MP to hold this post.(speaker)
Sangma was the first member from the Opposition to hold the office of the Speaker”
Actually, if I remember right, when Sanjeeva Reddy became the Speaker for the second time in March 1977, he was elected to the Lok Sabha on a Janata ticket and not Congress ticket. Therefore, he was the first Opposition member to have been elected as the speaker of the Lok Sabha.
India is DEMOCRACY. India is not MERITOCRACY like Taiwan or SHARIA like Saudi Arabia. If merit is the criteria, India should NOT get Independence from British.
Since Hinduism is a covert mask for Casteism, Indian Parliament must amend constitution to promote cultural and socio-economic DIVERSITY in Private Institutions,Temples,Judiciary and in Defense Services.
* 50% of Priests,Supreme Court Judges,Defense Staff must be from OBC communities. * 35% Priests,Supreme Court Judges,Defense Staff must be from Dalits and Tribals. * 15% of Priests,Supreme Court Judges,Defense Staff must be from OTHER Castes.
India must have reservations **till** 85% of all registered marriages are inter-caste. This is the only way to STOP dis-integration of India.

85% of your body should be reserved for OBC worms after you die and you thought your god is going to take you to heaven.
