Congress still has better chance
by shareef sa on May 04, 2009 09:30 AM  | Hide replies

Congress still has better chance as they will not be very poor in AP/TN...What they lost will be gained in Karnataka, Rajastan, Orissa, WB....

Still the key will be 4th front...if they become weaker, that will hit UPA collition....

Hope Congress comes back with flying colours...

BJP will also be kicked out in many states as we dont like their communal policy. This time, Parliment will be chaotic for the next 5 years with several Prime Ministers. Wait and watch

You support only conversion and killing H*ndus in blasts.
You cold bloded animals have to flee from our country. Parasite.

Hindoos are working, M*lims will be parasites for years to come(Cong will feed our money to them) converted CH*st*ans will survive from western money, but this will be for some time after that they will also start to become parasites.

You will enjoy communalism then.

Yeah...you are right in your assessment..

Nobody will get the majority and there will be many king makers!!

In the given scenario, Congress has better chances of forming the govt with "so-called" like minded parties..!!

If you ask to choose between evil and devil, people would go for evil. Congress is evil and BJP is devil.

Congress in Tamilnadu
by Guru Dandamis on May 04, 2009 09:25 AM  | Hide replies

After my tour to Tamilnadu and talking to various sections of the people there, I am pretty sure that Congress will not get even 1 seat in Tamilnadu. Its alliance partner DMK might win a few but for Congress, it is going to be a BIG ZERO. So, no Congress government in the center this time. Its going to be 3rd Front forming the next government.

Why is media TV, Print and Internet pro-Congress...????
by Pavan Nori on May 04, 2009 08:35 AM  | Hide replies

I see that media in all forms cover-up congress on all its failures, and give a glorious picture. They even try why congress should come to power and importantly they search all the options for the party to come to power... I seriously think that these media were given big bucks for all the nonsense...the sooner they realise this.. the better for them...

CONGRESS CANNOT COME TO POWER
by JaagoreIndians on May 04, 2009 08:18 AM

CONGRESS MAY NOT COME TO POWER THIS TIME.... NO PLACE IN THREE STATES..... In Orissa, congress was sucessful to break BJD and BJP alliance which lasted for 12years... however It would not consolidate the hate votes....In Andhra it would land up in 3rd position... however, if Chiranjeevi gains more seats, then congress can expect-half power.... In TN Congress dream is far to realize... and if you believe these are the states key for congress to come back to power at center... then its far from reach.

Kashmiri pundits are still being exploited!
by Indian on May 03, 2009 09:40 AM  | Hide replies

Migrant Kashmiri Pandit voter number halved in 12 years [Sat, 02 May 2009 New Delhi, May 2 (IANS)]

The number of voters among Kashmiri Pandit migrants has dropped 'considerably', from nearly 150,000 in 1996 to just 71,000 presently - a 52 percent dip.

In 1996 there were 147,000 voters among the migrants all over the country, in 2002 the number went down to 117,000 and during the assembly elections last year it was only 71,000, according to the Roots in Kashmir (RIK), a migrant Kashmiri Pandits' organisation.

Kashmiri Hindus were forced to flee their homeland when Muslim militancy erupted two decades ago in Jammu and Kashmir.

Some 300,000 Pandits fled the Kashmir Valley from 1989 as Muslim militancy peaked, at times targeting members of the community.

Today, most of them live in Jammu, New Delhi, Chandigarh, Bangalore and Mumbai. Only about 3,000 still reside in the valley.

Angry over the 'considerable drop' in the number of Pandit voters, the RIK accused the Election Commission of discriminating against them 'in connivance with the Jammu and Kashmir government'.

'At a time when voter registration is just a click away, the Election Commission in connivance with the state (government) is making the processes tedious for us so as to ensure that we don't get a basic human right,' said Ranish Hangloo, a young activist of the RIK.

He said polling facilities for the exiled Pandits were only available in two cities, Jammu & Delhi.

the migrants living in towns other than Delhi and Jammu 'don't get to vote'.

The Election Commission 'expects us to fly to Delhi or Jammu to vote' he said.

The RIK is organising a silent sit-in protest at Jantar Mantar in the capital Sunday against the 'discrimination'.

'It is to erase us from geographical horizon of Kashmir, from mind-spaces, voter lists, ration cards so that one day we can no longer claim to be Kashmiris,' said an angry Sanjay Peshin, the chief coordinator of the RIK.

The RIK is demanding that voting procedure for the migrants be simplified to ensure their 100 percent participation in the democratic process.

The exiled Pandits are required to fill what is called an M-form (migration form) to be included in the voters' list. 'When photo identity cards could be made for the Pandit voters, the M-form system should be deleted to make the process simpler,' Peshin said.

It's indeed sad to see the plight of the Kashmiri Pundits. It shows the power-hungry nature of our great N-G family who have roots to these Kashmiri pundits but have done nothing for them. Instead they have done everything to harm them. Those who can't be loyal to their own people, how can they be loyal to the country. No wonder Bofors happened, no wonder we lost the China war, no wonder we are having so many terrorist attacks.

I am totally in agreement with what you have said on this board. It is time that the next government starts working on how to rehabilitate Kashmiri Pundits back in J&K and also give you all the opportunities that are available under Article 370 like your Muslim brethren are enjoying back in the state. BRING BACK BJP/ NDA with a thumping majority and am sure, they will work towards uniform civil code and abolition of Article 370
