We need to be vigilant !
by Akash deep on Apr 29, 2009 10:40 PM

Just as Professors from IIMs filed PIL and obtained Supreme Court orders for declaring criminal records and wealth of Candidates, similarly we need to remain vigilant and use available institutions like CVC and Courts to improve working of CBI. Every ruling Party misuses it. Congress has ruled our country longest, thus its list of mis-use of CBI is longest.

Slandering Institutions
by kuttanad on Apr 29, 2009 09:44 PM  | Hide replies

Media has made it a fashion to slander all nations institution. CBI has been at the butt of these attacks for long and a national investigative agency is unncecesarily ridiculed. The consequences are far reaching. Modi government has gone to the extent of terming a Supreme Court verdict as motivated. If we continue along this line we will end up as a banana republic with faith in no national institutions. We just do not know what happened in Quattrachi case. It is hard to believe that Congress will shoot itself on its feet in the midst of an election campaign. Why can't we for a moment think that it was an indpendent decision taken by the prosecuting agency? Why not give the benefit of the doubt? But it is the norm of the day to engage in mudslinging without batting an eyelid.

Hi Kuttanad,

Where does Modi and his view on Supreme court come in here?

Quottorochi has been in the shadow for long. If he is clean, why not submit himself for examination to the Indian courts?

Who has been aiding him to flee?

Whats his connection to the Bofors saga?

Do Quottorochi or any of his shenanigans stand examination or evaluation before Indian law?

Please cross your heart bfore answering.

Congress bootlickers like you will go to any length to defend the epitome of corruption. Digvijay Singh openly declared that CBI = congress bureau of investigation. It requires more than self deception to realize that Sonia is scared of not heading the next government and allowing her dear friend Quatrochi to escape by scuttling the iron-clast case against him has become her sole obsession

To find whether a man is to be charged or not to be charged, the CBI has taken twelve long years. And here is a gentleman who wants to wait. This is not correct. We don't need a police force whch plays to the tunes of ruling party chief, who is from a foreign soil.

Re: Will Sonia give back $2 BILLION she received from KGB?
by ALARM on Apr 29, 2009 09:51 PM
Yes at least Advani has committed to bring back money from Swiss Bank. But what about Congress?? No significant sound from Congress. Whereas it was seen in a posting in Rediff discussion board on 25-11-2008 regarding money at Swiss Bank. In the name of Milana Export-there was an Account in Swiss Bank wherein cut money of Bofors deal was supposed to be deposited. KGB has given U.S.$ 2 billion in the name of Masefield Ag. This matter was published in the Article named “State within a State” by Yvgenia Albats-A Russian Harbard Scholar. A.G.Noorani-an Indian Columnist also has reported in 1998 that Rajib Gandhi had an Account with Swiss Bank. Moreover, 40 lacs barrels of oil bribe from Saddam Hossain of Iraq dealt by Natabor Singh-Ex Foreign Minister of India and his son under direction of Congress may be deposited in Swiss Bank Account.

Read J!nnah
by Prem Mohan on Apr 29, 2009 08:53 PM  | Hide replies

We are starting with this fundamental principle that we are all citizens and equal citizens of one State. The people of England in course of time had to face the realities of the situation and had to discharge the responsibilities and burdens placed upon them by the government of their country and they went through that fire step by step. Today, you might say with justice that Roman Catholics and Protestants do no exist; what exists now is that every man is a citizen, an equal citizen of Great Britain and they are all members of the Nation.

Now, I think we should keep that in front of us as our ideal and you will find that in course of time Hindus would cease to be Hindus and Muslims would cease to be Muslims, not in the religious sense, because that is the personal faith of each individual, but in the political sense as citizens of the State

Clarification for people: The above two paragraphs are an excerpt from J!nnah's speech of 11th August, 1947. Read it and you will find some very agreeable points in it. There is no harm in learning, even from an enemy.

We need to elect a government that is inclusive, democratic, secular, progressive, youthful, dynamic and forward-looking. it is true that no political party in India fulfils these requirments, but it is for the voters to judge on this basis and decide which party or candidate comes closest.

J!nnah's speech of 11th Aug 1947 is worth reading, even if you dislike the man. Read it and then criticise.

Mr. Mohan, this completely exposes the double standards of Congress bootlickers like you. Mr. Advani stood on Pakistani soil and reminded their present government how far they have deviated from the liberal principles that Jinnah had propounded at the formation of Pakistan. This was a direct taunt to the Pakistani government, which is today following a Islamist jehadi policy. At that time, Congi sycophants in the media raised such a hue and cry. Advani simply referred to Jinnah's speach where he spoke of equal rights to all citizens. Advani, like every other true India, has always vociferously opposed Jinnah's vicious 2-nation theory. However, just for narrow political gains Congi supporters like you and those in the media distorted Advani's statement. You should be ashamed of yourself. Don't you have a conscience? Does your loyalty lie with that Madam or to your nation, if you really are an Indian that is.

Religion is a matter of personal faith, and you are entitled to your beliefs. Similarly, Moslems are entitled to their faith. But that should have nothing to do with the business of the State.
