"Communism has ceased to exist in Bengal"! Why just Bengal,it has ceased to exist in the whole world. There isn't a single country left that has Communism as its ruling manifesto. Russia ab]nd china being the biggest Communism practicing countries have also embraced democracy. Only idi0t follow Communism.

sheetal i think u dont have knowledge at all. U need to brush up ur knowledge. Cuba in America's, North korea,China,Vietnam, Moldova in Europe are all Communists countries. Entire Latin America except Columbia are Socialist countries. France is a Socialistic-Democracy. Socialism is the pretext to Communism. To understand Communism u really need to study and once u do that u will change ur views.
In terms of Development, in last 32 years Commmunist party have done anything. Although they claim that they have done, but in real world completely nothing. If you see, during independence, people from only three states were mostly involved. These are Bengal, Punjab and Gujrat. Latter two states are now quite well developed as compared to Bengal. If you compare the richness and development, these states are on top of the table; whereas West Bengal is still hanging in the bottom of table. Day by day, West Bengal's debt from World Bank is hiking, if anyone notices this. After Orissa, West Bengal is highest borrower to take loan from World Bank. If you see Punjab, (although they were suffered from Terrorism in 90s), the roads in any village in Punjab are pitch road. Whereas in West Bengal are still muddy road, no development.
The most important thing, Bengalees should notice - Communist government gives importance only to Calcutta. They have not done anything at all on the proposal given Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy to create Second Calcutta. Nowadays, one third of CPIM/CPI supporters are Bangladeshi. You know why? Because when Bangladeshis come across the border, they are given Ration card and citizenship by CPIM government in one condition of giving vote to CPIM/CPI. As a bengalee, I am ashamed of saying that I am Bengalee. I can't find any revolution which used to be in our blood. What to say?
