Third front give us PM's like Gujral and Deva Gowda.

Third front cannot rule this country without the support of either Congress/UPA or BJP/NDA. Then for what sake we vote for this fronts.
These 3rd front partners only are interested in bargaining and getting good returns if NDA or UPA does not get full mazority.

this praful bidwai is a joker who is in awe of the Left!

his weak attempt at saying that this is an issue-less election is a pathetic ploy to divert attention of the people from price rise, terrorism, economic slowdown.

all in all, praful bidwai is the worst example of Indian journalism.

Similarly, Congress and BJP cannot rule without 3rd front, UPA and NDA partners like RJD, SP, JDU are all 3rd front members. A minority congress govt, completed full terms because 3rd front members continued supporting. But 3rd front minority govt. did not complete the term because Congress/BJP blackmailed by withdrawing support. Then tell me who is responsible for mid term elections.

MY REQUEST TO ALL OF YOU --- PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE CAST VOTE
by para on Apr 20, 2009 12:03 PM

What this bloody politicians will do for country. NOTHING they want to fillup their pockets as long as they will stay at power. NO Political parties are ready to talk about nearly 1 lac crores amount deposited outside India. But they will talk about “our Late Father of Nation Gandhi” but practically they want India should hollow in coming financial growth.

Any Political Parties Leaders have guts to sit in front of Gandhi statute and call for ’FAST TO DEATH’ UNLESS the huge country amounts went to outside India and it should be brought into country with full accountability and those who are involved should be debarred from the political Life.

Will they do ?’ A Millionaire Dollar Question” Because all are same buffaloes Greasier and they will speak in Public Podium that we have pay tax etc. but they will loot the money without any proper account.

It is better ALL THE REDIFF USER THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU CAST YOUR VOTE PLEASE PLEASE VOTE PERSONAL individual qualities if he is honest sincere and service oriented for people otherwise put him to GUTTER AND HE WILL NOT ABLE TO SHOW THEIR HEAD NEXT 10-15 YEARS.

Please accept my views

NO, NOT AT ALL! THERE IS NO VALUE TO COMMUNISTS
by vishwas rajadhyaksha on Apr 20, 2009 11:57 AM

NO, NOT AT ALL! THERE IS NO VALUE TO COMMUNISTS. 'After elections, CPM will become so irrelevant' that many of the political parties will either choose Prakash Karat as PRIME MINISTER
otherwise 2 other alliances have to form Government on the left parties support & for each & every decision, they have to do KOLKATA SAVARI.

Third Front destined to come third
by Rajni Mishra on Apr 20, 2009 11:55 AM

The so-called Third-Front comprises a bunch of opportunists, starved of power. The concept of secularism in the eyes of these power-mongers is as incomprehensible as the touted secularism of congress governments through time. Dr MM Singh's government averred on affidavit that RAM never existed, while come election time, Sonia Gandhi visits Ayodhya and does 'sashtang' namaskar to people of Ayodhya, the birth-place of RAM. One is confused if MM Singh and Sonia Gandhi had the same RAM in mind. Parties like AIDMK, TDP, BJD are as secular as Mukhtar Ansari is a noble soul. The left parties cover themselves in the shroud of 'secularism' because they have nothing else to offer to the country; their economic policies are a riot. It is better to have richie-rich in the parliament than having goons who have been sanctified by political outfits like BSP, RJD and LJP.

Share market Losses ????????????????
by vikram on Apr 20, 2009 11:36 AM  | Hide replies

During these last 5 years it has happened or no ?

Has the stock market tumbled and made millions of small, middle class people loose their hard earned savings, every last rupee and made them commit suicide ?
Has price of PHARMACEUTICALS, PAINKILLERS GONE DOWN ?? Has cost of education gone down ?
Do 1% richest people in the country have more wealth and say/ power / influence than 90% of the poorest people
Has number, instances of suicides and rapes become common ??
Have Banks agreed to reduce rate of interest ?
Do you feel u r earning for the bank ? and ur pockets are always empty ?..... money ille , not there !
has government taken any action to significantly reduce ROI and check if bankers are passing on the reduction in rate of interests to thier OLD CLIENTS
Has porography, pervertness and kinkyism, frustration increased , become very common ?
Are more woman out on the streets to ESCORT/ compromise, to earn a living because of loosing jobs and proper means of livelihood ?
Has Government put deaf ear towards revival and unemployment ?
has money been splurged on a particular sport even when we are saying there is recession in the country ?
Whay again and again, there is VOLATILITY IN THE SHARE MARKET.
Why people are being made to deliberately loose their all money in stocks by repeated UPS and DOWNS ?
This way, rich will remain rich and Poor will become more Poor ?
Why is this happeneing, what manipulation is behind this ? Cast your vote for a better Govt.

Pseudo-political process
by Venu Parameswaran on Apr 20, 2009 11:32 AM

There are so many issues plaguing the country and its polity, which, in one word, could be summarized as systemic deficiency in good governance. But it is propounded that this is a no-issue election. The reason is too obvious. We and our country have become prisoners of a pseudo-political process. This is best evidenced in that almost all political parties are 'managed' by Supremos and high Commands and the candidates in the fray do not consider themselves to be anything other than the mercenaries or gladiators for the party bosses . The parties lack internal democracy which could be the catalyst for devolving statesmanship in governing the country. These parties in trying to usher in glorified democracy, which, in its essence, is nothing but a oligarchy in another name.
