I have voting i.d of karnatka since i was working there, but now I am in maharastra and I have been not given voting right. In one face govt. tells give vote but in the other they donot allow us to do that. they donot take essential steps for those you have voting i.d of another state and since they are working some where else they can give vote without any failure to that state. Thats why the percentage of polling is 60-70%.I hope if centrelised voting system comes into the picture the percentage of polling will increase.

Do you understand that this voting business is conducted by the Election Commission of India and not the Government. Secondly did you check up whether your name was there in the voter's list of the constituency where you belong? Did you apply for inclusion of your name in the place where you are supposed to be in the voters list? If you remain silent don't expect that election commission gives you an I Card like ATM card to withdraw money from counters across the country!

You are right. Many people have similar reasons for not voting as they have migrated to other states for work. Their voter ids are not valid in the place where they have migrated. Hope the government is listening????
