you are absolutely right Mr Sathyarth.

At one end cCong-I is trying hard to get more seats by bribing voters and asking indirectly the commies to garner more seats from the other side.

CPM getting a taste of their own medicine
by sumit bose on Apr 12, 2009 08:34 PM  | Hide replies

Mamta is doing to CPM and to West-Bengal today what CPM did to West-Bengal for the first 25 years of their 30 year rule. It is only now that CPM realizes their folly but its so late. CPM is getting a taste of their own medicine in their own backyard!!! CPM destroyed industries and impregnated minds of workforce with vicious anti-managment philosophies, beat up company CEOs and directors, used unions against the management of the companies and forced down shutters. Today when WB is left so far behind the rest of the country that CPM realizes it folly and want to change tracks. But alas it now has to face the music of the same people to whom it taught anti-industry practices for years. And Mamta is just using the same tactic that CPM used earlier. CPM has destroyed the prestigious temples of learning like universities by politicizing them. Merit has taken a backseat and all positions be it for teachers or lecturers at universities or clerks at municipalities and jawans at police can be bought if you have enough money and clout. They even tried to gag the media earlier during their rule but failed. The ill effects of 30 years of CPM rule is still visible and it continues to be like that in all spheres - be it the recruitiment at univs/police or any other govt agencies. Not to say that Trinamool can provide a better alternative to CPM!!! The people of WB has to choose between a dragon and a monster!!! Can no-one from Bengal rise and uproot both these monsters

Unfortunately Mamta does not even have a fraction of the calibre and the merit that CPM leaders have inspite of all their hypocricies. Mamta does not even have a strong organizational foundation. She resembles one of those who has a place only in the asylum. At least CPM did a good job at land reforms. Mamta has not done anything till date except for howling. Its high time that some one from the student politics should come out of the shadows of CPM and TMC and chose a different path for Bengal. Only then can Bengal shine.

Mamta alone cannot do. In fact her profile does not synchronize with people aspirations in muslim dominated West Bengal.

I fully support your argument but unfortunately most of the Bengali people today have become the frog in the well!!!!
Can anyone come out and become a true leader?

Good that you have judged CPM after 30 years of performance. How can you judge Mamata or Trinomul. They have not been in office ever ! Ek bar mouka de ke to dekho ! This same Buddhadev walked out of Joyti Basu's cabinet by calling it a 'thieves ministry' but later crawled back in after having a taste of wilderness ! If such a person can lead Bengal, could Mamata be worse !

Irgun Stern, you should realise that it is congress which has made India not fit for democracy. Within few years of BJP rule, the policies will change like the way in Gujarat and citizen will get the basic needs and be able to think about democratic responsibilities.

* Communist leaders in India are real hypocrites.
* They advocate anti-capitalism to Indians.
Almost all Communist leaders have sent their sons and daughters to America as immigrants in the pretext of higher studies.
