throw some eggs
by moodyrich on Apr 10, 2009 03:16 PM

I think the Indian voter should increase his repository and make creative choices like eggs and rotten tomatoes. hmmmm... eggs are costly nowadays so rotten tomatoes may be a wonderful choice.

You respect Narendra Modi? for the genocide of a particular community in Godhra. You respect Advani? Who ignited communal riots, who destroyed a place of worship?. Let us give a big blow to communal parties, let's bury them and make India a truly secular country, where people of all faiths, all castes, can co-exist without fear and in an atmosphere of mutual respect for eachother.

Which is the secular party in India?
Congress? BSP,CPM ,SP,Muslim League!!!!
You can see the nature of candidate these parties chose,
In a constituacy where muslim population is more then they will field a muslim candidate there. If any particular cast they will do the same. Is it so calles secularism Mr.Rizwan?.Can you say any of these parties field a hindu candidate where muslim are dominant? then I can agree they are secular... Please don't be a victim your self of minority vote bank

Ballot Protest more effective than Shoe Protest
by Rizwan Hussain on Apr 10, 2009 03:14 PM  | Hide replies

The Iraqi journalist threw a shoe at George Bush, a man who waged a illegal war under a false pretext and occupied a soverign country. Bush was responsible for the murder of hundreds and thousands of Iraqi men, women and children. The Iraqi journalist was protesting this and Iraq was and is still under occupation, so his actions were justified. He threw a shoe at a man who has blood on his hands. But, copying this action blindly in India doesn't make sense. A harsher penalty should be imposed on those who throw shoes at officials or minister or for that matter anyone. If they are not satisfied with their leaders, the people should show their anger at the ballot by voting out corrupt politicians. The Sikh community should stop complaining. Yes, they were subjected to attacks after Indira Gandhi's assasination. So, were the muslims in Ayodhya, in Mumbai and in Gujurat. Christians have faced attacks in Orissa. There has never been a muslim PM, but we have a sikh PM. The Sikhs should stop complaining that they are marginalized. As long as we have caste politics, India will face communal problems. Let us vote honest, hard working, and uncorrupt people in to power, let's forget whether he is hindu, or muslim, or christian or Sikh. The biggest power in a democracy is "People's power", but we the people are underestimating our power.

You mean in India ,situation is any better!!
with so many terrorist attacks and bomb blasts all over India!!!!!!

It is Indian MPs who are responsible for making India a weak & lawless country where nothing good is supported by Govt and people enjoying power.

Congress is accused by 80% of Indians, to have threatened the very existence of their identity .i.e. H1nduism.
It is the good nature of the H1ndus that they have resorted to these peaceful means of protest. Had it been you Musl1ms you would have made your sound heard thru. muzzzles of Kalashnikov's.
Congress will be voted out this time.

You are so selfish rizwan. The same action done it for Muslim cause it is great and done for other community it is not good. When you people stop such double standard,. This shoe throw is not becuse sikhs are marginalized. it was an out bust of anger aginst aquitting the rogue Tytler from the infamous riot. I am a vitness for this riot ..you can simply make comments sitting in room but think about the people affected by it.

People who are concerned will vote them out. But there is a larger mass of rural voters who'll vote them in for 20 bucks. Hence the shoe - it's like advance payment.
